The sound of the impact reverberated through the hall, each echo a reflection of Midoki's absolute power. With eyes burning with determination, he transformed into Guardian – Indominus Series, unleashing his maximum energy.
- Midoki: "Katana Shinrei Sogai-zai, release." – His voice sounded like restrained thunder, while the air around him seemed to ripple under the pressure of the emerging aura.
He invoked the supreme technique of the Cosmicism Law – Void, delivering the final blow he would call World Devastator Imbued in the Gray Fissure. The overwhelming power transcended his opponent's limitations, obliterating Mammon's Mimicry ability.
As the devastation consumed the hall, Mammon fell to his knees. His regeneration faltered, and he raised his trembling hands.
- Mammon: "Please... mercy!" – Tears streamed down his disfigured face, his voice cracking in desperation.
Midoki stared at him coldly. The disgust in his eyes spoke louder than words ever could.
- Midoki: "The mercy you offered to those you hurt... was nothing but emptiness." – Midoki's expression twisted into a faint, malicious smile. – "Now, Mammon... I'll show you what true devastation from an eternal void looks like..." – His eyes gleamed with a cobalt-blue aura.
The fissure completed its work, erasing Mammon absolutely, destroying even his soul. Before being consumed, Mammon cast a final glance toward Elyra, murmuring:
- Mammon: "I hope you enjoy the surprise."
Elyra, confused and frightened, felt a chill run down her spine.
The destruction was not limited to the hall. The very limbo itself began to collapse, corroded by the imbalance Midoki had caused in the previous chapters. The weight of permanent death hung heavy in the air, and those witnessing the scene found themselves powerless before the devastation.
- Belphegor: "We have to get out of here!" – Belphegor shouted, grabbing Elyra as the fissure continued to spread.
But Midoki did not retreat. He moved forward, facing the destruction he had wrought. With clenched fists, he muttered to himself:
- Midoki: "I will contain it..."
Realizing that his katana did not disintegrate upon touching the fissure, Midoki saw an opportunity. Activating the power of the Potentialism Law – Resonance, he enveloped his blade and fist with the energy of the technique Shinrei – Yoroi. Channeling his strength, he transformed the fissure into a sphere of pure energy and absorbed it, swallowing it without hesitation.
With the threat contained, Midoki used the Touch of the Creator technique, derived from the Originalism Law – Creation, to restore the throne room. The destruction was reversed, and the hall regained its former glory, a testament to Midoki's restorative power.
As the group prepared to leave the castle, Midoki buried his father's body beneath the old tree in the garden, where his father had once proposed to his mother. There, where his family once listened to the birds sing, he murmured:
- Midoki: "May the fruit of your memory live in every sunrise, Father." – At that moment, a blue jay landed on his shoulder but soon flew away.
Outside, Neptune revealed crucial information he had found written in blood on one of the castle walls: the people of the Kingdom of Lior had escaped to the Labyrinth of King Tauros, an old friend of Midoki's father.
- Midoki: "That's where we're heading. Prepare to depart at dawn." – Midoki commanded firmly.
Later, Midoki noticed Throk's absence. He found him standing on the castle wall, staring at the horizon.
- Midoki: "Why are you here alone?"
- Throk: "I'm not going with you to the Labyrinth."
Surprised, Midoki narrowed his eyes.
- Midoki: "Does this have anything to do with Belphegor?"
- Throk: "No." – Throk shook his head. – "I realized I'm not strong enough yet. The battles against the Zodiac Envoys and the high-ranking demons made me see my own limitations."
Midoki cut him off with a severe look.
- Midoki: "Stop thinking like a loser. Try to remember — when that Cyclops awakened, I only managed because you were there."
Midoki's words brought calm to Throk's restless spirit. In silence, the two returned to the group, ready to face the challenges that awaited them.
