Chapter 131 - Chapter 141 Hope Arrives

Mount Fuji at the top of the volcano.

Both Herrschers were channeling energy with different roles.

Herrscher of Wind was in charge of marking a path to the earth's core using her control of wind and imaginary energy.

While the Herrscher of Thunder was in charge of gathering and building enough energy to fully trigger an eruption and detonation of the Earth's core.

With the Herrscher of Wind finishing faster, she began floating around.

"Don't be careless. Didn't that guy with the white mask say that there's a rogue Herrscher that is with the humans?"

The Herrscher of Thunder remained focused and still reminded her relaxed 'partner.'

"Okay, okay, I get it. Remain alert? Yeah, sure..."

The Herrscher of Wind impatiently picked at her ear, a hint of mockery on her delicate face.

"If you ask me, what's with all this fuss about a Herrscher siding with humans? If he really was helping them, he would have shown up by now. Plus, one of us helping humans? That's the funniest joke I've ever heard."

"Perhaps, it was because he did such things that he became a second-rate 'Herrscher'..."

Although their "world-destroying operation" was carried out only on an island nation, the commotion it caused had a huge impact on the rest of the continental plates.

"Earthquake! Earthquake!"

On the other side of the world, countless cities are experiencing unprecedented earthquakes, and countless lives are being lost to the disasters.

Glaciers at the North and South Poles broke off, causing sea levels to rise, and tsunamis gradually submerged low-lying countries.

Although it is unknown whose guidance it was, the two Herrschers easily found a "weak point" on this planet and used their Herrscher powers to increase their destructive power by hundreds or thousands of times.

"Someone, please save us!"

Countless voices echoed from afar, painful wails that would add a touch of blood to this blue planet.

But just when everything seemed to be settling down, or about to erupt in silence, a voice appeared in the minds of people around the world.

"Hear me, all who stand upon this troubled world.

You were never meant to suffer beneath the weight of such senseless destruction.

What you face now may be only the first shadow of a greater darkness…

But know this: even in the darkest hour, hope endures.

From despair, new strength will rise.

Do not falter.

Do not surrender.

For as long as we stand together… there is always a future worth fighting for."

The warm voices nourished the hearts of everyone suffering and swept away by the natural disasters of the moment.

It was as if a warm current enveloped them, pulling them out of their despair.

"Is that... Orion's voice?"

At the Tokyo coastal base, Ato, supported by Elysia, seemed to awaken from the darkness and heard a familiar voice.

"Yes, it's him. I knew I hadn't misjudged him."

Elysia was emerging from a pile of ruins. Behind her was a vast and colorful cluster of pink crystals that enveloped the entire base, resembling a giant crystal flower.

After the base was swept away by the Herrscher of Wind, the entire battle line of thousands of people now rested peacefully in this "miracle" constructed of dazzling crystal flowers.

No one was injured.

In a research lab of the MOTH, Mobius fiddled with a test tube in her hand, as if she could see the secrets of the entire universe within.

Then, without hesitation, she injected the test tube into herself, and the silvery-white, star-like drug flowed into her body.

She took off her clothes and entered a bathtub filled with highly concentrated, compressed Honkai energy liquid.

Nearby she opened a box close to the tub that stored a Honkai Beast limb, which resembled a snake's body.

On the box was a label [Emperor-level use with caution].

Below the label was information such as the characteristics and traits of this Honkai Beast.

A smile involuntarily appeared on Mobius's face. The high-level Honkai Beast materials she had been desperately seeking were now right in front of her. She could almost see the door to "evolution" slowly opening before her.

Besides her assistant Klein, the only other person who knew about this plan was "that man."

Mobius lay in the prepared liquid container and closed his eyes.

"I will be the one to unlock the 'key' to the future!"

Mobius lay peacefully in the culture tank, as if welcoming a bright future.

...

In Skydrift City, in a gloomy alley where no one would disturb you.

Hua huddled here all alone, lonely and pitiful.

Her black over-the-knee stockings were torn, and she didn't even know where her shoes were.

"Are there other people in this city?"

Feelings of loneliness and despair welled up in Hua's mind, and she dared not look out.

In the city, a terrifying, white, and alluring beast shattered everything she knew.

Hua had just found her "friends" in this city.

Hua, just as she was getting to know the city and seemed to be emerging from her previous rigid and aloof state.

The "collapse" has taken everything from her, and it seems she is about to lose her life as well.

The sound of the Honkai Beasts slowly approached, and Hua was already powerless to escape.

Even if she escapes from here, where can she go?

Destruction is imminent. The shadow of the Honkai Beast blocks the only light source in the alley, just like Hua's uncertain future.

"That's fine then..."

As a martial artist, she was ready to face her death in battle.

Suddenly, Hua felt a familiar sound of wind coming from beside his ear.

"What is that?"

Not long ago, that clear and bright light was still etched in Hua's mind.

Light shone in from the alley, and a person was standing on the opposite bank of the river.

"Can you still stand up?"

Hua could barely open her eyes, as if something dazzling and radiant had appeared before her.

But her inner instincts compelled her to respond and grasp the hands in front of her.

Because those hands represent "hope."

...

Somewhere on a random remote island.

Vill-V was rambling to herself about her findings and ideas. Ever since she learned what Honkai was and what the organizations that fought against Honkai were, Vill-V had a question in her mind.

"Why can't humanity use Honkai to fight Honkai?"

Although her actions have been somewhat restricted since getting caught, she was for the most part free, as her identity was vouched for by Orion and Elysia.

Plus, her weapons development talent also played a role in attracting the attention of the higher-ups.

According to previous information, while Honkai energy brings many drawbacks, its energy capabilities surpass any currently used by humankind.

The most mysterious and highest-level beings on the Honkai side are the "Herrschers."

"Such advanced beings must have some kind of energy core."

This is what Vill-V thought, and she wanted to use this core concept to serve her "magic."

"Things made with the core must be incredibly magical!"

The smile on Vill-V's face suddenly stopped, and her expression became calm, completely different from before.

"If I'm not mistaken, 'he' is..."

Light shone on Vill-V, casting her shadow in eight different silhouettes behind her.

It felt as if it wasn't one person but a group of "people" conversing at that moment...

"Orion!"

In the containment base of the MOTH, Kevin immediately recognized his friend's voice and clenched his fists in excitement.

"Did I hear that right, Mei? Did you hear that voice?"

Kevin asked the question while supporting his girlfriend.

Mei adjusted her glasses, the lenses reflecting a curious gleam.

"That's right, this voice is probably not just appearing in our minds, but rather …"

"Every single person on Earth right now."

The two looked around at everyone they could see, including the old people and children lying on the ground, men and women, healthy people and sick people.

A silver light seemed to appear in their eyes, giving them a spark of hope.

This "voice" naturally also affected the two Herrschers who were in the middle of ending the world.

But instead of hearing the voice in their heads, they heard the words directly, as Orion appeared in front of them with stigma markings covering his body.

Seeing this, the Herrscher of Thunder cautiously took two steps back and stopped her gathering of energy. She was on high alert because she hadn't even noticed when he appeared in front of them.

The Herrscher of Wind was not surprised to see Orion appear instead; she showed a delighted expression.

"Finally, there's someone worth playing with. You won't let me down, right?"

A sickly smile appeared on the Herrscher of Wind's face as she greeted Orion with a Wind Blade.

Orion was in a state of calm, although he was entirely ready to fight both of them.

"Children who play with fire get burned, you know?"

Orion mocked.

The Herrscher of Wind was triggered instantly as she took the insult personally.

"Since you want to play, let's go somewhere else."

Orion spread his hands, and a powerful and transparent force enveloped the three of them.

Before they could react, the scene changed the instant the two Herrschers sensed the shift in space.

The three now were above an ocean.

Orion smiled and hooked his index finger at the two of them.

"Come on, you're both third-rate Herrschers with fourth-rate powers."
