Chapter 13 - TVA

Deep within the void, inside corridors that defy the laws of physics and time, the Time Variance Authority—TVA—was experiencing one of its most chaotic moments since its founding. The air inside the control room was charged—not with electricity, but with anxiety.

The lights covering the walls flickered irregularly, and mechanical sounds repeated at a faster pace than usual. On the main wall, where the unified timeline map was displayed, the golden straight line at the center of the board was no longer clear. Instead, dozens of branches were sprouting one after another, like cracks on fragile glass.

Judge Ravonna Renslayer stood before the main platform, her eyes fixed on the map. Normally, she managed everything with steadiness and calm, but now she couldn't hide the tension in her voice.

"How many branches?"

One of the analysts replied without lifting his head from the screen, "Five hundred and seventeen… as of this moment."

She raised her eyebrows. "Moment?! You mean it's still increasing?"

He nodded affirmatively, then added, "At a rate of three new lines every two seconds."

Hunter B-15 entered from the side door, her steps quick but heavy. She wore her full armor, indicating she was either returning from a field mission or had been forced to cut one short.

"Quick report, Judge: you sent me to investigate a temporal breach in the mid-21st century, but while I was there, three more branches appeared simultaneously, in the same place, with no interference. No one traveled through time. No one touched anything. They just… happened."

A heavy silence fell, as if everyone was trying to comprehend what had just been said. Then the analyst cleared his throat again.

"Ma'am, these are not conventional branches. They have no clear origin. No critical moment changed anything. It's as if these lines come from nowhere."

Renslayer looked at the map, then to a side screen displaying analytical data. "Where is the temporal investigation unit? Have they pinpointed the start of this collapse?"

"Yes and no," Agent Dougs answered, appearing on the holographic screen, looking exhausted. "Pinpointing a single point is impossible, but the first signs of disturbance appeared two days ago… across all active timelines simultaneously."

Hunter B-15 said calmly, "Impossible. This isn't a coincidence. Something triggered all of this… something that knows how time works."

Dougs shook his head. "It doesn't resemble any previous threat. Not Loki, not Kang, not the Time Rebels. This is different. Almost invisible."

He then added in a low voice, "It's as if time itself has begun to collapse."

In the background, the map emitted a strange buzzing, then a black spot appeared among the branches, like a black hole beginning to swallow one of the lines.

One analyst shouted, "A timeline is collapsing completely! Only three minutes remain!"

Renslayer quickly ordered, "Send the restoration unit, immediately!"

But before anyone could press the button, the line vanished entirely from the map. It didn't collapse gradually. It didn't fade away. It just… disappeared.

Hunter B-15 whispered, "Did an entire world just die?"

The analyst answered in a low voice, "There are no signals. No time, no place… as if it never existed."

Everyone fell silent.

Heavy seconds passed.

Then Renslayer returned to her platform and said, "We need to move. This is not a rebellion… this is a phenomenon. Something older than the TVA, possibly stronger."

"Suggestions?" one agent asked.

"We need an unconventional investigation team. I want to review everyone who was previously pruned for timeline violations but was not completely erased. Loki, Sylvie, anyone who approached the Time Core or ventured beyond the bounds… We need outside eyes."

Dougs responded, "We're the TVA. We're not used to asking for help."

Renslayer said sharply, "Today, we're not in a position to afford arrogance."

At that moment, a new branch appeared on the map… but it was unlike the others. It did not sprout from any timeline. It appeared on its own, from nowhere, at the edge of the system.

It glowed with a dark red hue.

The analyst said, "Ma'am… this branch does not follow any known temporal laws. Its rules are constantly changing."

Renslayer stared at the screen, then whispered, "This is not a branch… this is a message."

Suddenly, all screens went dark for a second, then returned to display a single sentence in white text on a black background:

"Do not interfere. Everything is under control."

A heavy silence prevailed. No one moved. No one breathed audibly.

One analyst slowly said, "The system has no source for this message. It didn't come from inside… nor from any traceable point in time."

B-15 whispered, "Someone… is watching us."

Renslayer said quietly, as if speaking to herself, "Or warning us."

Honestly, I don't have much information about TVA other than what I saw in the Loki series.

No, that's why I included the events of the series here, but they have nothing to do with this story since the MCU is in another timeline.
