"Congratulations, host! You have obtained all content of 'Honkai: Star Rail' version 3.0 'The Ode to Rebirth'!"
"Congratulations, host, on obtaining all content from Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.1 'Light Slips the Gate, Shadow Greets the Throne'!"
Lin Yu looked at the content of the two major versions in the system Store but slightly furrowed his brow.
It had been some time since Version 2.7 ended.
Logically speaking,
the content for Version 3.0 should have been released by now.
Lin Yu had indeed purchased the refreshed content for the two major versions in the system Store...
But!
Two crucial resources just wouldn't~ refresh no matter what!
Those were the Amphoreus Hero Chronicle and Nameless Faces!
The former contained the most fundamental worldview of Amphoreus, along with the character art and related lore of the Chrysos Heirs.
The latter was the theme song for the entire Version 3.0!
The video content also included a significant amount of important information.
Its value was equivalent to Penacony's "Sleepless Night"!
Based on past experience, as the release date approached, these version-related resources had a high probability of appearing in the system Store.
It was like reaching the pity threshold in a gacha system.
The chance of pulling a rare item grew increasingly higher.
But this time,
no matter how many times he refreshed, he couldn't even catch a glimpse of these two videos!
Was this normal?
As the developer, Lin Yu naturally couldn't let Version 3.0 start off with such a regret.
So,
he kept refreshing!
"I refuse to believe it!"
"Ding! Detected that the host is in a predicament. A new system notification has been generated. Would you like to view it?"
"View!"
[Suggestion: The host may initiate a Version 3.0 preview livestream to increase the relevance of related resources. After completing the livestream, there will be a higher probability of refreshing the corresponding resources.]
"A preview livestream, huh..."
"Alright."
Lin Yu temporarily closed the system Store.
He slowly exhaled.
His attire suddenly transformed.
His hair instantly grew longer.
His pupils turned a dark golden color.
His entire demeanor underwent a dramatic change!
"It's been a while since I last used this appearance."
He began constructing the Dreamscape space.
To serve as the stage for the preview livestream.
He also logged into Yu Ling's account and posted a preview livestream announcement.
[Version 3.0 Preview Livestream 'The Song of Re-Creation' will begin in half a system hour]
...
"Huh? So sudden!"
"Yu Ling is starting a preview livestream?"
Guinaifen, who had been resting on a Starskiff, immediately sat up!
Not long ago, she had set off from Belobog, heading back to Xianzhou Luofu.
She had just taken an afternoon nap on the Starskiff,
and upon waking, she saw this bombshell news!
She entered Yu Ling's livestream.
Although there was only a countdown timer for now, the number of viewers in the livestream was in the trillions!
[Time until preview livestream begins: 15:23:11]
…
"I'm here!"
"The grand documentary 'Waiting for The Herta' is now airing!"
"Open the door!"
"The hour has come, the Astral Express is cleared for departure!"
"Honkai: Star Rail Season 3, the Amphoreus Arc, is about to begin!"
"Will Yu Ling himself appear in this preview?"
"Here to witness the grace of the Aeon of Games once again, everyone~"
"By Yu Ling's grace, may my pulls not go off-banner!"
"Wishing for The Herta!"
…
Darn it, I'm late!
Guinaifen was just about to send a few comments to interact.
Suddenly.
Beneath the white countdown text, a new line of text appeared.
[This preview livestream will randomly select three real-world individuals corresponding to in-game characters as on-site guests, granting them the opportunity to ask me questions.]
[The selection will be announced when the countdown reaches the last five minutes]
Upon seeing this line of text.
The livestream chat instantly erupted like a volcano!
...
"???"
"Holy crap, Yu Ling, you're actually serious about this!"
"All or nothing!"
"Does that mean even Acheron and the Stellaron Hunters have a chance to be selected?"
"Damn, they're going this big this time?"
"I vote for Jing Yuan! Once he's on site, ask Yu Ling when he's going to buff Prisoner Jing!"
"Jing Yuan still needs buffing? With Brother Sunday now, his team is already T1..."
"I vote for Seele! Buff Seele's stats and effects!"
"Are we about to witness history again..."
...
Guinaifen couldn't help but lick her lips.
When it came to game characters...
she was one of them too!
That meant she also had a chance to become a guest!
Thinking of this.
She immediately sent a comment.
"I, Guinaifen, am willing to sacrifice all my future gacha luck, hitting hard pity every single time, in exchange for a chance to be selected!"
Soon.
Only the final five minutes remained!
Guinaifen felt her heart racing faster and faster!
It was as if she were about to ascend to the heavens!
Then, beneath the countdown.
The first name appeared.
[March 7th]
...
"Ahhh! Little March, you hit the jackpot!!"
"Hell yeah!"
"As expected of Yu Ling's favorite daughter, she got picked first."
"They're not even pretending anymore!"
"My online spokesperson, March 7th!"
"March 7th, the waters of this livestream are too deep for you to navigate—let me handle it!"
...
Aboard the Astral Express.
Seeing the name appear in the livestream.
March 7th was briefly stunned before pointing at herself and asking:
"Is it me? Is it really me?"
"Could there be someone else named March 7th?"
Dan Heng let out a slight sigh.
"March, since Yu Ling said the selection is limited to characters from Honkai: Star Rail, there shouldn't be any possibility of duplicate names."
"It's fine, March. It's definitely you."
"Damn, why isn't it me!"
"There are five minutes left. There will be a chance to ask Yu Ling questions later, March. Have you thought about what to ask?"
March 7th was still completely bewildered!
It was like a student who usually slacked off and played around suddenly being dragged into a final exam!
"Um... I..."
"No!"
"How do I even participate? Wait, I need to change into a formal dress first!"
For a beautiful girl, appearance is the most important thing.
Realizing she might soon appear in front of players across the universe, March 7th hurried back to her room to change!
Only five minutes left!
She couldn't risk the livestream starting while she was halfway through changing—that would be so awkward!
Right!
She'd wear that formal dress from last time!
...
After March 7th left.
In the Parlor Car.
Everyone was still focused on the remaining two spots.
Even though March 7th had already been chosen.
What if someone else from the Astral Express Crew got picked too!
At that moment.
The second name appeared.
[Acheron]
...
"!!!"
"Ahhhhhhh!!"
"666666..."
"Now I believe it's truly random…"
"Good, good, good…"
"Greatness needs no explanation!"
"We get to see Miss Acheron again!"
"Yu Ling, aren't you afraid Acheron might get angry and slash the livestream with her sword? (doge)"
"Three slashes, one great strike, followed by an eternal night."
"It'd be interesting if the last pick is Black Swan~"
...
Only one name remained.
Guinaifen pondered who would make for the most entertaining choice?
The Herta?
As the first limited five-star character of version 3.0, wouldn't it make sense for her to join the livestream?
Plus, she's a genius—she might ask unexpectedly brilliant questions!
Or perhaps…
A big shot from the Xianzhou?
General Jing Yuan?
General Feixiao?
It's hard to imagine them sharing a room with Acheron!
No matter what, this livestream is bound to be explosive!
Just then.
Guinaifen suddenly saw a flash of white light before her eyes!
At the same time.
The final name was revealed.
[Guinaifen]
...
"Ohohohohohohohoh!!"
"Little Gui!"
"Buying! Definitely buying!"
"Not even a pinch of salt needed!"
"Makes sense!"
"Yu Ling: Your gacha luck, I'll take it."
"The peak of life!"
"The ceiling for ordinary people!"
"Little Gui must be Yu Ling's subordinate!"
"As everyone knows, Little Gui is the Emanator of the game."
