Jaxon didn't answer right away. Instead, he placed a firm hand on Orion's shoulder and gave it a reassuring squeeze. "Your brother's strong, Orion. He'll get through this. And Izan's with him now. He'll make sure everything's handled."
Orion nodded slowly, though the uncertainty still lingered in his expression. He glanced down at his hands, his voice breaking as he whispered, "I just want him to be happy."
Niko, still wrapped in Dillion's embrace, sighed deeply as he overheard Orion's words. "We all do," he said quietly, his voice heavy with emotion. "This morning… it wasn't supposed to go like this."
Dillion pressed a comforting kiss to Niko's temple. "We'll make sure things get better," he murmured softly.
The quiet tension in the hallway stretched on, heavy and suffocating. Orion fidgeted with the edge of his sleeve, and continue stealing glances at the closed door. Jaxon remained close, his hand still resting on Orion's shoulder, offering silent reassurance.
