It's ten thirty now, half an hour away from the final coffee.
Over at the Manhattan Hotel, Audrey was cursing through gritted teeth, "That damn kid, how can he be so heartless."
Audrey thought that after explaining the misunderstanding to Ning Fan today, he would eagerly come over.
But unexpectedly…
"That kid actually brought a girl back to the hotel; it seems he's not coming over tonight."
Looking at Alice, bathed in moonlight before the floor-to-ceiling window, a hint of pity and relief flitted through Audrey's eyes.
Audrey originally planned to surprise Alice since, according to her plan, Ning Fan should have arrived long ago.
To improve the atmosphere, this café, which offers views of New York's nightscape, had already closed early.
But now, with Ning Fan not coming, all of Audrey's efforts were in vain.
"It's a good thing Alice didn't know in advance, otherwise the poor girl would be very disappointed."
