Xu Ruolan propped both hands on the desk, locking eyes with Ning Fan.
"I'll ask you again, are you taking the position of general manager at Xu Corporation or not?"
Ning Fan smiled awkwardly, not avoiding Xu Ruolan's intimidating gaze.
"This conversation seems off track. Didn't my sweet words move you at all? Even my own eyes got a bit moist. Shouldn't you be jumping into my arms and crying, admitting your mistake, and promising me freedom from now on?"
"Don't get sidetracked, I'm talking business with you."
"I'm serious too, freedom is really important to me."
Ning Fan spread his hands towards Xu Ruolan, as if expecting her response.
Xu Ruolan lifted her hands off the desk and switched to a more relaxed tone:
"Who says being a general manager isn't free? Have you heard of titular roles? Honorary positions? Just like the Queen of Great Britain."
Ning Fan raised his brows slightly and gestured resignedly to Xu Ruolan:
