At Derek's location, his cauldron was heated by a blue flame whose heat could be felt even by the spectators. At Gu Shuyuan's place, her cauldron was heated by a white flame.
"They finally go all out! They're using their special flames to heat their cauldrons," one of the spectators said.
"The Southern Abyss Flame used by Young Master Derek is much more powerful and much more suited for concocting pills than the White Northern Peak Flame used by Gu Shuyuan."
