"If Daddy is so amazing, does that mean he's going to get a really amazing job?" the little one asked, looking up at Qin Yuhan with watery eyes. It seemed as though if Qin Yuhan dared to say no, she would immediately burst into tears.
Defeated by her precious daughter, Qin Yuhan shot a look at Wu Tian and snorted. She then turned to Li Muge. "Mu Ge, he's here to work for our corporation. Take him with you and 'train' him for me. Be sure to train him well."
Qin Yuhan stressed the word "train" with such force that the clever Li Muge instantly understood the hidden meaning. She glanced at Wu Tian, then back at Qin Yuhan, completely baffled. As far as she could tell, Wu Tian was a good person, and Qin Yuhan was her best friend. Logically, there shouldn't be any animosity between them! What in the world is going on? Li Muge was completely dumbfounded.
"Wu Tian, she is your supervisor from now on," Qin Yuhan said, her cold eyes fixed on him, her voice flat and icy. "Inside the corporation, you report to her. Remember, her name is Li Muge. You will address her as Mu Ge. If your performance is subpar or you make any mistakes, heh... you can just resign."
A small smile played on Wu Tian's lips. When Li Muge glanced at him, he could see the affection still lingering in her eyes. Others might not have noticed, but there was no fooling him. My dear wife, are you trying to push your own husband into another woman's arms? Is this really how you want to play this game?
It didn't matter, though. Back in the Immortal Emperor Realm, countless female immortals had tried to seduce him, and not a single one had succeeded. Wu Tian had absolute confidence in his self-control.
"Well then, I look forward to working with you," Li Muge said, taking a deep breath. She walked up to Wu Tian and politely extended her right hand, but he completely ignored her.
Seeing this, Li Muge showed no sign of embarrassment and slowly withdrew her outstretched hand.
"Wu Tian, that was incredibly rude," Qin Yuhan remarked. "Mu Ge, just take him down. As for this little one, I'll watch her for you."
Qin Yuhan was just eager to get rid of her best friend and that nuisance, Wu Tian, so she could stay and play with her precious daughter.
Li Muge still had no idea that Wu Tian's daughter was also Qin Yuhan's. For now, she was just surprised. So, my best friend actually likes kids, huh?
"Alright then, President Qin. We'll let you get back to work," Li Muge said. With that, she led Wu Tian out of Qin Yuhan's office.
She led Wu Tian directly to her own office and closed the door behind them.
"Do you have any idea how long I've been looking for you?" Li Muge began, her voice filled with sorrow. "I asked your mother... She said you'd been missing for four whole years. Do you know what those four years have been like for me? I never imagined that after waiting all this time, I'd finally find you, only to see you have a daughter... Tell me, who is the woman?"
She's been waiting for me all this time? Wu Tian sighed inwardly at the thought. He could clearly sense her sorrow. If he had chosen Li Muge back then, he was certain they would have been happy, and perhaps his journey to the Immortal Emperor Realm would never have happened.

"First, courier."
"The corporation needs couriers?" he inquired.
"Our corporation spans multiple industries. We have our own Qin Corporation Courier Services."
"What else?" Wu Tian said.
"Second, a cleaner."
Wu Tian was speechless. He thought for a moment; that job wasn't right for him either. I am a mighty Immortal Emperor, full of talent. I can't possibly waste it here.
"Third..." Li Muge's expression turned coy. When a mature beauty like her acted this way, it had a unique charm. She looked away bashfully. "You could... be my secretary."
"A male secretary?" Wu Tian repeated, astonished.
"Don't worry. As my personal secretary, you wouldn't have to handle the really busy work. You'd just have to remind me to eat, and remember to..."
"I'll pass on that one, too," Wu Tian said, immediately shaking his head. That kind of one-on-one situation between a man and a woman was not what he was looking for.
"Well, that only leaves the fourth job for you," Li Muge said, her expression turning sympathetic.
Wu Tian was perplexed. What on earth could that job be?
