As the elder took Lin Chen's pulse, the wrinkles on his face grew deeper, and he occasionally tilted his head, his murky gaze containing a thoughtful expression.

The elder whispered to himself, though what he found peculiar was unclear. After speaking, he said no more and instead turned to a corner of the room.
In that corner stood a shabby wooden cabinet. It seemed that due to ancient age, its wood was decayed, with many areas gradually cracking, and under the dim light, the cabinet appeared even more decrepit.
The elder walked over, opened the only drawer, which was engulfed in darkness. The dim candlelight seemed to be swallowed by it, not revealing any scene within.
Yet the space inside appeared vast, as the elder's thin hand reached in, disappearing entirely.
His head slightly tilted, his arm moved gently, as if he were stirring water, searching for the item within.
