Chapter 10 - Encounter with a Demon

MC, after checking their status, says, "Nezuko, you have a very great 'will' to fight the demon virus. If you do not consume humans, you have a great chance of curing the virus." Pet her head. This stuns Tanjiro, and then suddenly he smells blood coming from afar.

Tanjiro "Nezuko, get into the basket. I smell blood. Someone needs our help." He ran after the smell. This just shocked me, and then I remembered his human saint talent. I shook my head and ran after him. This was my first encounter with a demon.

When I reached that place, Tanjiro was struggling on the ground, and Nezuko kicked the head of the demon and his body. Then I came running.

MC: "Tanjiro, it won't die even if its head is cut off. Stay alert." Tanjiro became alert. The head came at him. He put an axe in its mouth, and the demon head had two hands. Trying to strangle Tanjiro, the demon's headless body, like it had a will of its own, ran to Nezuko, ready to hit.

Then I intervened and started fighting. It is strong, has very good regeneration, and is swift with punches. I countered it with an axe, but it was not enough. The demon is fast and strong, but I cannot keep up with its stamina. Then I remembered there was a cliff near by, so I ran towards it, and the demon body followed me without delay. I couldn't understand how the body without the head was fighting me. When I reached this cliff, we fought, my stamina becoming low, and my axe cuts were not dealing much damage by God's grace. Tanjiro and Nezuko came running, understanding my plan. nezuko ran towards the demon fast feeling nezukos approach body got distracted then i took the chance and put every last bit of strength in the axe and swung it and impel my axe in the stomach of demon and nezuko round house kicked it and it fall into the cliff knowing it wont die with just that told the brother and sister to follow me When we reached the demon's head, it was unconscious, and I took my axe and impeled it on the demon's head. With that, it could not move properly, and I get to relax.

MC: "Tanjiro, I know your kindness, but don't show it to the demon who is feasting on a single family little distraction. We will be his meal. Think about Nezuko. What happened to her? If you're gone when fighting demons, use everything in your arsenal and be ruthless."

Tanjiro: "Yes, big brother Raja, I understand, but how is it moving and even after cutting its head?"

MC "Good question. Demons only die when their heads get cut off by special swords and sunlight. We don't have special swords, so we use the next best thing, the sun. Am I right, old man?"

Tanjiro and Nezuko get puzzled and bend their necks in doubt, wondering who I am talking to. Then an old man's voice comes in: "Yeah, your right, when did you find out about this old man?" Tanjiro and Nezuko became alert and ready to fight.

Sakonji is a reasonably tall elderly man, as noted by the countless number of students he has trained, along with his silver-colored hair. His face has never once been revealed or depicted throughout the entire completed manga; he is always seen wearing a tengu mask that covers his entire face, although Tanjiro states through a Taisho Secret that Sakonji's face is very gentle and calm.

He is always seen wearing a cloud-patterned jinbei kimono with navy-colored pants, which are fastened at his shins by white kyahan guards. He also wears traditional black tabi socks and sandals similar to Tanjiro, except his sandals have blue straps. On the occasions when Sakonji travels, he wears a white cloth that covers his head and wraps around his neck.

MC: "Relax guys, Nezuko, go hide. The sun is going to rise any minute." Nezuko nodded and ran into the house with the hut and entered into energic sleep mode, and Tanjiro, who came to my side, used his nose to judge the old man.

MC "I had a feeling that somebody was watching me when I entered this mountain range, but I confirmed that when we fought the monster, you were ready to save us when we were in despair, and I thought you were assessing us to see if we were slayer material or not."

Sakonji, "You're a smart one, huh? How is your master? Do you have anything for me from him?"

I took out the letter he wrote to Sakonji and gave it to him. I checked on Tanjiro for any wounds. He showed me his body and told me he heals fast, but I didn't listen to him. I checked him and bandaged his body where he had wounds.

Sakonji saw the contents of the letter and was shocked. "It is time to fulfill your promise that three children will bring hope to humanity." He was shocked. How did the monk know he was becoming more mysterious? He put this thought back in his mind and decided to train the two boys to see if they had the will to be demon slayers.

The son rose, the demon burned and became ashes, and we helped the old man with clearing and burying the bodies. After that, the old man asked us to follow him, and Tanjiro covered the basket, lifted it, and ran, with me following behind.

The old man is very fast. We tried to keep up with him but couldn't, and finally we reached his house, which was at the foot of the mountain. He told us to rest, and our training would begin tomorrow. With that, we fell asleep at night. I cooked some Japanese food, and Tanjiro was also good with it and made delicious food with fewer ingredients.

After our dinner, I decided to have a brotherly talk with Tanjiro and asked him to come with me for a walk. We reached a pond, sat there, watched the moon, and I asked him what happened to his family. He told me everything started crying, and I hugged and assured him, "We will avenge them by killing the demons that terrorize the world, so we have to work very hard." He nodded and controlled his emotion, and we reached the hut.
