Chapter 262 - Chapter 259: M.R.I.

The next morning, Ryu started his day as usual with a light workout. After that he trained in ninjutsu, the intense sessions of the next stage of Ragangan, and fine-tuned carbon control exercises, pushing his unique abilities to their subtle limits.

After a quick, efficient breakfast, he made his way to Tsunade's temporary office. Today marked the first of many crucial days, as he and his newly assembled team of fuinjutsu and medical ninjutsu specialists were set to begin the meticulous work on a one-of-a-kind fuinjutsu seal that would be called [BodyGPT].

Ryu arrived at Tsunade's temporary office to find his team already assembled, their faces filled with determination and anticipation, knowing that they would begin the seemingly impossible task today.

-Genjutsu: [Mind Palace Projection] activated

He activated his Mind Palace, and the temporary office's walls dissolved, transforming into a seamless blend of virtual and real reality.

Before them, a perfect, pulsating replica of Souji's body materialised, filled with lifelike detail, displaying a beating heart, blood circulating through translucent veins, and every organ functioning in a vivid, simulated dance of life. This virtual body was part of a sophisticated simulation, mimicking every intricate bodily function with astonishing accuracy.

While they had encountered aspects of this before, the astonishing realism still captivated them. Shizune, her eyes wide, leaned forward. "How did you make it so accurate, Ryu-kun? Is it… accurate?" she asked, her voice a mix of awe and professional scepticism.

Ryu gave a small, confident smile. "I'll show you how." He used a subtle shift in his stance to activate his powers. His eyes glowed with a faint, almost imperceptible light, and the invisible forces of the world around him were illuminated with coloured lights.

Ryu explained, "To continue, we need to compare the damaged parts of Souji's brain with a healthy brain and record brain activity related to basic body movements."

Tsunade's brow furrowed. "Healthy brain scan? Ryu-kun, where do you propose we get such a thing with the necessary detail?"

Ryu gave a mischievous look as he stated, "We need a volunteer for this specific task."

Ryu turned to Shizune and requested, "Shizune-san, could you please permit me to conduct a brief, non-invasive scan to calibrate our baseline?"

Shizune gasped in surprise, "You're asking me to be the volunteer?"

Ryu offered a reassuring smile. "Just a quick, noninvasive scan to calibrate the baseline. Trust me, it won't hurt a bit. It will allow us to create a new, perfectly accurate brain scan within the Mind Palace."

- [Temporary Enhance] working on [Improved Eyesight] and [Infrared Vision]- [Electromagnetic Vision] activated

- [Magno-Telekinesis Seal – pair] activated

As Ryu spoke, a shimmering, translucent outline of Shizune's own body began to coalesce in the Mind Palace beside Souji's, forming from the ground up. It quickly filled with intricate detail: her skeletal structure, the delicate network of her veins and arteries, the rhythmic pump of her heart, and the complex weave of her muscles, all glowing with soft, internal light. Shizune stared, utterly mesmerised, seeing her own insides laid bare with impossible clarity.

Tsunade, her brow furrowed, watched him intently. "How exactly are you doing this, Ryu-kun? This isn't a medical ninjutsu I've ever encountered."

Ryu's smile widened slightly. "I can see the entire electromagnetic spectrum, Auntie Tsunade. And not just see it; I can also generate electromagnetic waves."

Ryu then directed subtle magnetic lines, generated from his [Magno-Telekinesis Seal—pair], into Shizune's body. With his newly activated electromagnetic vision, he meticulously recorded the real-time effects, generating a dynamic, multi-layered scan of her internal structures within the Mind Palace.

"The principle is similar to what I call Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or MRI," Ryu explained. "By generating powerful magnetic fields and radio waves, we can make the hydrogen atoms in the body's water molecules align. When the radio waves are turned off, these atoms release energy, and my vision can detect those signals. Different tissues, like bone, muscle, or brain matter, release energy at different rates, allowing me to create a detailed, three-dimensional image of the internal structures without any invasive procedures or harmful radiation."

Ryu paused, his gaze sweeping over their still-stunned faces. "I'm currently working on an instrument version of this, a device that could perform these scans for anyone, without the need for my personal abilities."

Tsunade was utterly dumbfounded. Her jaw dropped, a rare sight for the legendary Sannin. She looked desperately at Dan and Yuki for answers, her eyes wide with disbelief.

Yuki, equally stunned, shook her head slowly. "It's the first time I'm hearing about this, Tsunade."

"That's like having a dual bloodline limit!" Tsunade finally spoke, her voice a disbelieving whisper. "One elemental and another ocular bloodline! having two bloodlines at the same time...That's unheard of!"

Yuki, regaining some composure, turned to Ryu. "When did you discover this, Ryu-kun? And what do you mean, 'see the electromagnetic spectrum'?"

Ryu shrugged casually, as if discussing a minor new hobby. "I only figured it out recently. Before, I only saw heat signatures—the infrared part of the spectrum. Now my visual spectrum has expanded greatly. I could see through walls if I chose to, although maintaining that ability is quite overwhelming.

Dan, Yuki, and Tsunade exchanged glances, a silent, complicated question passing between them. "Is he related to the Uchiha clan or the Hyuga clan? Could this be a lost ocular Kekkei Genkai or a first generation?"

Ryu, almost guessing their collective thoughts, offered a wry smile. "Maybe somewhere along my extensive family tree, there was an ocular bloodline."

Tsunade tried to rationalise, thinking, "First-generation bloodlines can sometimes appear and vanish, not always passing on to the next generation, similar to my grandfather's case. It's rare but not unheard of." Her explanation, however, sounded more like a desperate attempt to fit Ryu's anomaly into established scientific understanding.

As they spoke, Ryu had continued his scan, meticulously mapping Shizune's entire body within his Mind Palace. After finishing, Ryu deactivated his powers, causing the Mind Palace projection to shimmer and fade, returning the room to its normal appearance. He leaned back, a visible sigh escaping him.

Ryu said, "Utilising Mind Palace and my visual power simultaneously is... draining. I require a short rest."

They took a short break, the weight of Ryu's revelation hanging heavily in the air. During this break, Ryu elaborated on additional details of his plans, outlining strategies to expedite the process when they commenced the actual work, already strategising for efficiency.

When they resumed, Ryu, with his unparalleled understanding, took the lead in writing the core functions of the BodyGPT. The other grandmasters, including Dan and Tsunade, quickly grasped the intricate function calling and absorbed many new, unfamiliar concepts that Ryu introduced. It was a masterclass in Fuinjutsu, a crash course in a revolutionary new paradigm.

Meanwhile, Yuki and Shizune, with their keen medical insights, were tasked with isolating specific parts of the brain at the input side. Ryu meticulously scanned a healthy brain and its neural and chakra network, contrasting it with a scan of Souji's impaired brain. Both Yuki and Shizune diligently examined each brain, identifying the ideal input points for supplying data to the [BodyGPT], while also determining the output sections that would connect to every muscle.

They were feeling a little overwhelmed, diving into the human brain at such an unprecedented level of detail. Ryu, drawing on analogies they might understand, had meticulously annotated the basic functions of each part in the data presented with the virtual models of the brain, providing them with an invaluable guide.

Yuki, with a furrowed brow in concentration, finally spoke. "We should prioritise our focus on the major muscles initially and then proceed to the minor ones. Each muscle has its own sections and components. Given the complexity of the numerous muscles and brain regions involved, we can approach our tasks by breaking them down." She gestured to the virtual brain, where they had now zoomed in a hundred times. They all were practically standing inside the virtual brain at the border of damaged areas.

Ryu was aware that by pushing his Mind Palace to its limits, he could work much faster, possibly ten to twenty times faster. However, on this occasion, he deliberately chose to proceed at a slower pace. He observed them, watching their minds expand and their understanding deepen. He saw the excitement, the challenge, and the joy of discovery in their eyes. Everyone was enjoying their parts, truly contributing to something groundbreaking.

However, after a few intense hours, everyone began to feel the effects of the Mind Palace Projection; not every brain was capable of enduring such prolonged, high-level, and continuous thought processes. Ryu, noticing their fatigue, suggested, "Let's resume this tomorrow. We have made significant progress today."

Ryu was about to leave the office when Tsunade, ever pragmatic, asked, "So, Ryu, what's your next move? What are you working on now that this session is done?"

Ryu replied, a hint of his usual mischievous glint returning to his eyes, "I'm off to recruit someone."
