Chapter 3 - chapter 3

I find myself caught in the middle

of the most significant battle imaginable, determined to endure. I always

manage to pull through, regardless of the situations I encounter. Therefore, I

seek a way to board the Veridian spacecraft known as the Interstellar Odyssey.

This small cruiser has limited weaponry but boasts the best available Adaptive

Shielding. I have a crucial task: to get someone on board who possesses

critical information that can end the conflict between us, the Aquilonis, and

our adversaries, the Veridians. I learn we need to swiftly return this

individual to our government so they can ascertain the information and evidence

regarding the explosion and why the Veridians have not taken responsibility for

This step is essential to halting the war and restoring peace between our

factions. However, given the origins of our conflict, achieving peace on our

planet is daunting. For nearly 18 years, families have been torn apart without

any means of contact, and many rifts need mending to reunite us.

So, I navigate the Odyssey. We

move fast towards the big warships as the battle continues. Z and I realize

that making it through this battle in one piece will be challenging. Yet, we

can always manoeuvre through ships unnoticed because this mission remains top

secret. Only the top brass knows our objective on this trip. If anyone catches

us, they will deny everything and claim they have no idea why we are there. We

dodge fire from both sides because my ship has no markings; I can blend in with

both factions. I've retrofitted my boat with an Echo Tranquilizer, allowing us

to turn off ships without destroying them. Our scientists and engineers

designed this weapon specifically so we could board the ship without injuries

or deaths. As I fly towards the struggle between our ships, I feel uncertain

about where I'm heading. I start dodging missiles first, knowing they can be

fired from a long distance and lock onto their targets. For now, this task

feels a bit too easy. My flying skills keep us Out of trouble. I weave towards

the skirmish, and while I don't know my exact direction, I can instinctively

dodge the missiles. My sixth sense seems to guide me, and Z knows what to do as

we simultaneously navigate towards the Veridians; we lose count of how many

missiles we evade. Now, we find ourselves in range of the laser cannons,

increasing our danger. Our shields will have to work overtime. Once through

that, we recognise that the challenge is not over yet. The Veridians send out

fighter ships because we've moved closer to their base ship. We manoeuvre away

from the base ship to ensure the fighter ships can't reach us, limited by their

fuel. But we faced another problem: One of the Veridian cruisers started moving

our approach to investigate our activities. We lock onto the Odyssey's

coordinates and see they are trying to appear like they are being with the

battle. We redirect our computer to the nearest planet and move away from VSS

Aetherstar—VSS stands for Verilonis Star Ships. We return to the Odyssey's

location when we reach the nearest closet.

We picked up an important

person, Elara Dran-Tai, who once held a high position in the Verilonis. Her

family faced a downfall because her grandfather was involved in fraud and money

laundering. However, Elara was not connected to those events, as her

grandfather died when she was very young. At that time, she did not understand

what had happened or why her family lost their status as government advisers.

Despite her challenging

background, Elara has always been a down-to-earth person, treating everyone

equally. She worked hard to reach her current position in government, but I

believe many still judge her based on her family's past. Personally, I see her

as a person deserving of respect, even though she doesn't know me. I hope she

won't judge me and Z based on appearances. If she wants to receive the help we

can offer, she will need to trust us to ensure her safe passage from point A to

point B.

The planet is called the

Exionis farming facility, an advanced agricultural system on a disunite world.

From the spacecraft's viewpoint, large, luminous fields are arranged in a

precise grid pattern, each emitting a gentle, neon glow. These lights brighten

the crops, creating a striking contrast against the dark, rocky terrain of the

planet.

Sleek, towering structures

dominate the area, housing cutting-edge farming technology. Aerial drones

hover, overseeing the crops with precision. The facility optimises artificial

lighting and employs advanced technology for maximum efficiency, ensuring

optimal growth in harsh planetary conditions. The planet itself remains barren,

surrounded by rugged rock formations, while in the distance, the vastness of

space displays stars and distant celestial bodies. The spacecraft hovers just

above, providing a sweeping view of the facility's intricate designs and

high-tech operations. Verilonis and we, the Aquilonis, trade fruit and other

plant-based food. This delicate, balanced environment helps everything grow and

survive, also contributing to infrastructure improvement. Additionally, we

source fish from there, as the air and water remain unpolluted. So, with the

coordinates of the Odyssey in hand, I hope it hasn't moved far from where it

was before heading towards Exionis. Here we go back there.

So, she rushed to our

government building for safety. Before they could ask, she said, "I wouldn't be

here if it weren't for Z and me; I owe them a debt of gratitude. Do you want

him?" Then she asked, "Are you coming with us? Is that okay?" She assured me

she trusted him and Zyloq. "Is that okay with you? Please ask Zyloq to move the

ship to the government building?" Of course, I had to comply with her request.

My curiosity about the information she held, which could potentially end this

war, pushed me forward.

We all entered a secure,

soundproof room in the government building, guarded by four armed personnel.

Radio jamming equipment surrounded us to prevent leaks and ensure our

discussions remained confidential.

Ara began to explain her

thoughts about the explosion she orchestrated, revealing proof of her actions

and motives. She told us how was responsible for the explosion to The Shadow

Empire from the Cosmic Void, known as the Nyxar Dominion. This clandestine

empire thrives in perpetual darkness, utilizing secrecy, cunning, and energy

extraction from dying stars. The enigmatic Ebon Sovereigns lead them, embodying

the void itself, with their intentions as mysterious as the darkness

surrounding them. The Nyxar Dominion seeks to divide and conquer our planet

until the end of the week.

Elara shared crucial

information about the very explosion that sparked our conflict. "How can we not

be to blame?" they questioned. "We sold parts to merchants across our solar

system. If we examine the bomb's serial number from the spaceship that exploded

while heading to Earth years ago, we might uncover invaluable insights." Some

state officials asked, "How can we trust that you sold that part to someone

years ago?" Elara responded, "Here's proof," as she retrieved the file

containing the serial number and details of the sale. We discovered the part

had landed in the hands of the Nyxar Dominion, revealing their long-laid plans

to acquire our planet and our resources, she rushed to our government building

shared crucial information about the very explosion that sparked our conflict.

discovered the part had landed in the hands of the Nyxar Dominion, revealing Their

long-laid plans to acquire our planet's defence shields without issues. She

also told us about what she found out about Nyxar Dominion's new battleships.

There are Colossal battleships which are called the Erebus

Class. The first is called

the Nyxar elite she did not know how many more have been built

or how many are being planned to be built ether yet. We have dome spy's trying

to find that information out as soon as possible. But what we do know about the

Erebus Class Is the specifications for them are they Emerging silently from the cosmic

darkness, the Erebus-class frigate was the embodiment of stealth and precision,

a shadow crafted from advanced technology. Classified officially as a Stealth

Frigate and Heavy Reconnaissance Vessel, it measured a formidable 265 meters in

length, with a beam spanning 87 meters and standing 56 meters high. Despite its

robust dimensions, it glided effortlessly through the void, its 195,000 metric

tons masked expertly by advanced engineering.

Aboard

the Erebus, the standard crew of 80 operated with calculated efficiency, though

the ship could function minimally with just 35 trained personnel. When missions

demanded, its occupancy expanded seamlessly to accommodate up to 140

individuals—marines, technicians, pilots, and covert operatives ready for rapid

infiltration or clandestine operations.

Its

propulsion was a marvel, featuring four primary Ion Pulse Drives enabling rapid

sunlight acceleration and nimble manoeuvres with minimal detectability. For

swift interstellar traversal, a Quantum Slipstream Core allowed Erebus-class

vessels to leap silently between star systems, leaving scarcely a ripple

detectable by conventional sensors. Should the primary systems falter, antimatter-fueled

reaction thrusters provided a critical lifeline in emergencies.

Energy

was drawn from a sophisticated Antimatter Fusion Core, heavily shielded and

cloaked to conceal the vessel's energy signatures, with an Auxiliary Quantum

Flux Reactor poised to take over if necessary.

Defence

and stealth were interwoven into Erebus's very framework. Its Adaptive Stealth

Shield Matrix reduced detection across visible and energy spectrums, while

Quantum Deflection Shields dissipated incoming energy fire effortlessly. The

hull, armoured with Composite Nanoalloy plating and reinforced graphene layers,

shrugged off kinetic impacts and energy strikes alike, further aided by

radar-absorbent coatings.

Though

built for subtlety, the Erebus-class was armed impressively. Four

forward-mounted Particle Beam Cannons delivered devastating precision strikes,

supported by eight Pulse Laser Turrets forming a defensive perimeter. Within

concealed internal bays rested 30 Quantum-guided Torpedoes, including stealth

variants and specialized EMP missiles capable of neutralizing enemy electronics

without direct confrontation.

Advanced

Multi-spectrum Cloaking rendered the frigate virtually invisible across

optical, electromagnetic, and thermal spectrums, aided further by Active

Signature Suppression technology. The vessel's sensory array, featuring

Multi-dimensional Quantum Scanners, probed distant threats and hidden anomalies

with unmatched clarity, while secure Quantum-encrypted communications ensured

immunity against hacking and tracking.

Electronic

warfare capabilities allowed the Erebus to disrupt enemy communications,

navigation, and targeting systems effortlessly, turning confusion into a

tactical advantage. The internal hangar housed up to two medium-sized support

craft—shuttlecraft, fighters, or dropships—complemented by six stealth recon

drones and automated maintenance bots that ensured operational readiness.

Designed

for extended deep-space operations, life support aboard the Erebus included

automated hydroponic gardens, closed-loop oxygen recycling systems, and food

synthesizers, sustaining crews autonomously for up to a full year. Its roles

spanned covert reconnaissance, espionage, rapid infiltration and exfiltration,

strategic command, and deep-space intelligence gathering, making it a

formidable presence lurking quietly among the stars. At the moment our

battleships are no where near them on both sides.

Just as we were about to

leave, an encrypted call provided us with the meeting's location, timing, and

details, filling us with excitement as everything fell into place for our

adventure! We waited for the details, though we lacked specific details about

the pickup information on key participants; we completed our flight checks and

informed Planet Protection Security. To our delight, they quickly approved our

plans, and the government gave us a big green light to proceed!

We prepared to take off with

anticipation, looking forward to soaring through the planet's shield. The

ongoing conflict presented challenges. We remained optimistic about the peace

process ahead, even knowing that picking up the dignitaries would be tricky.

Our dignitaries was on the way to meet us at the meeting point.

As we approached the planet's defence

shields, they opened for us like a warm embrace, welcoming us onward. Fuelled

by determination, we confidently entered the coordinates for the pickup point.

Sure, some battles raged nearby, but we felt ready to zip in and out with

agility and speed.

Here we go, filled with hope

and excitement, eager to make a difference! Ships in a battle with the Verdians.

I've done it before, so I know what to expect and with my six-sense to help on

my way. I knew this was going to be a challenge, and the odds may be high that

we will. He failed on his trip, but I like the odds of doing something. I will

do it Here. I have been in worse positions than this, but that was when I could

talk my way out of things. However, This time was different. I knew I had many

lives relying on me to help stop this war. So the job is to get there in one

piece and get to the meeting point in one piece, too. So I hope the dignitaries

don't want an official welcome is needed because that won't happen. I've not

got time for that kind of shit. We need to get on them fast so we can get out

of there and reach the meeting point quickly. So I was lucky Elara could help

me quickly get them on the ship and explain things. So we got to the pickup

point, and it was not easy with all the cannon and missiles flying across both

sides. So the ship was one of my old friends from the Veridians who does the

same, but he's not as good as I am. I won his Ship off him in a game of cards.

He always thought I cheated out of the ship, but I knew what cards he had. I did

give him a chance not to bet his ship and lose his money, but he threw it in

and lost it all. His name is Kael Drake

(Drakey for short). He is a great pilot but not as good as I am. He does think

he charms his way through anything. Anyway, we go way back, even well before

the war started between us, but we still bump into each other on our delivery

of the same things as me. We do have a bit of a competition between us. We

would race to see how to get to the next delivery first. So I was my old ship.

I sold it to him as I won his ship off him, so it was a win-win for me I did.

let him have it cheap because I would have to modify the Phantom

to make it my own. The

ship is sold. He was called the Astral Tempest it had done me well but it was

getting a bit old and battered now it was over 10 years old. So we had some

banter about my old ship, but not today.

But I saw someone I knew as her

bodyguard for the dignitaries and Elara's protection. What I know about the bodyguard

from her repatriation. Her name is Vex (NEWT) Ardent, and she is a striking

figure in the vast expanse of the galaxy. Her presence is a vibrant testament

to her individuality and independence. In her mid-20s, she has cultivated a

unique persona that blends a fierce love for weaponry with a keen sense of

technological innovation. Her weapons are not merely tools of combat; they are

extensions of her creativity and a reflection of her resourcefulness in a

high-tech society. She has mastered the art of seamlessly integrating tech

upgrades into her firearms and body armour, ensuring that it remains sleek and

unobtrusive yet still provides a superior edge in any skirmish.

At first glance, Vex is quiet and reserved, preferring to observe her

surroundings until she feels comfortable enough to open up. Her demeanour is

calm, yet an underlying intensity hints at her fierce loyalty to those she

considers friends. Once trust is established, Vex transforms into a steadfast

ally, always ready to lend a hand, even if it means she neglects her own needs.

Her attire further emphasises her fierce personality. She wears sleek

black leg armour that hugs her form, paired with combat boots that reach just

below her knees. The shoes adorned with two chains—one clasping just above the

foot and the other three inches from the top—are as functional as they are

stylish. Leather straps at the top and middle ensure the armour stays firmly in

place during any engagement. Vex also sports an oversized leather jacket that

allows for freedom of movement while draping elegantly over her armoured

attire. The coat boasts a prominently displayed Assassin's logo on the upper

right arm, a tribute to her clan, while her name is etched in tribal design on

the front, adding a personal touch. The back of her jacket features an embossed

skull insignia interwoven with the image of her clan's helmet, a reminder of

her roots and the battles she has fought.

Vex's helmet, a matte black masterpiece, sports the Polish Assassin's

clan insignia on the back. The visor, tinted jet black, conceals her identity

in the heat of battle, adding an air of mystery to her already formidable

presence. A scratch just below the Assassin's logo marks her victories, a

silent testament to her prowess as a fighter—an amusing detail to those who

take the time to really get to know her.

Her ship, the 2023 X-7 Fury Cruise. its was called Fury for short.

mirrors her design aesthetic. Finished in metallic black, the vessel glides

through the cosmos with understated elegance, deliberately designed to blend

into the boundless star-fields where cosmic dust can be a formidable adversary.

The ship's aerodynamic shape is not just for looks; it has side and top hull

shields for enhanced protection and a reinforced energy film to guard against

micrometeorite impacts. Inside, heated control grips ensure comfort during long

voyages, while a The custom-designed pilot seat provides maximum support,

making it ideal for extended interstellar missions. With Vex at the helm, the

X-7 Fury Cruiser is not just a mode of transport—it is an extension of her

spirit, embodying her adventurous soul and unyielding determination to forge

her path among the stars.

So, no, we have to work out our way back through the battle again. The

meeting point was at Plant Exionis, the farming plant. They had

an area set up in their government building that was a soundproof room. But we

have to get there in one piece. We found out that they converted a barn into a

landing bay, so we hid my spaceship. Plus, no one could see how it was on the

ship, either. I was in this meeting. I had to get the ship ready to take off at

a moment's notice. One of two reasons is that if anyone comes to find out what is

going on, and the second reason is that if the Nyxar Dominion finds out about

this meeting, they may take full advantage of the situation by killing

everyone. There was a no-fly zone around the planet, and we had our ship's

radar up towards the sky. So we get some notice if anything is coming towards

the planet. But looking the meeting went well. They all come out and walked

back to my ship. So now it's back up in space with Veridian delegates to meet

back with my old pal Drakey

ship. Back in to the battle like the same as before missiles and laser cannons

fire all over the place. As my ship was one of the fastest ship out there it was

not a problem for us. We did the drop off of the delegates it was so easy this

time. We knew what to expect this time too.

Cassian

stood at the expansive viewport of the orbital shipyard, gazing upon the sleek,

majestic form of the newly completed Xyrlaxis-Class cruiser. Born from

unprecedented collaboration between Aquilonis and Veridian, she was a vessel

that embodied the unity—and the urgency—of their joint struggle against the

Nyxar Dominion.

At 435

meters in length, with a width of 145 meters and towering 75 meters tall, the

Xyrlaxis-Class dominated the orbital dockyards. Her hull gleamed, a subtle

shimmer betraying the presence of advanced stealth coating layered atop

tri-weave Nano polymer composite armour, further reinforced by reactive

graphene plating. She wasn't merely a battleship; she was an elegant, lethal spectre

of deep space.

Designed

originally for a peaceful mission to Earth, necessity had swiftly reshaped her

into a formidable multi-role cruiser. The ship was equipped to carry a standard

crew of 220, yet could operate effectively with as few as 90. Her decks could

also accommodate up to 300 battle-hardened marines, and space remained for an

additional contingent of 80 specialists, diplomats, or scientists. At full

capacity, 600 souls could call this advanced vessel home.

Cassian

felt a thrill of awe at the propulsion systems that lay within her engineering

core. Twin Ion-Impulse drives guaranteed unmatched manoeuvrability, supported

by gravitational stabilizers that would let her dance gracefully through

asteroid fields or maintain precision orbit around any celestial body. But her

true edge came from the upgraded Quantum Slipstream Drive Mk III, capable of

leaps up to 75,000 light-years, swift and silent—an essential trait when facing

an enemy as cunning as the Nyxar.

Her

heart was a Hyper-Stabilized Antimatter Fusion Reactor, humming silently

beneath the armoured plating, flanked by Quantum Flux Auxiliary Reactors

ensuring redundancy and stealth capabilities. For emergencies, antimatter

propulsion thrusters were on standby, ready for quick escapes or unexpected manoeuvres.

Defensively,

she was unmatched. Her Adaptive Quantum-Phase Shields shimmered invisibly

around her hull, effectively resisting kinetic, particle, and directed-energy

assaults. A Layered Deflection Grid dispersed projectile impacts, rendering

conventional attacks ineffective.

Her

offensive power was equally formidable. Forward-mounted twin Quantum Lance

Cannons promised devastating strikes against even heavily armoured capital

ships. Heavy Particle Beam Turrets offered omnidirectional firepower, while

automated Pulse-Laser Defence Grids swiftly neutralized enemy fighters and

missiles. Rapid-fire Railgun Batteries and Quantum-Guided Torpedo Launchers,

loaded with EMP, stealth, and plasma torpedoes, rounded out her formidable

arsenal.

But

perhaps her greatest advantage lay in her stealth and cyber warfare

capabilities. A Quantum Cloaking Field Generator rendered her nearly invisible

across electromagnetic and visual spectra, while sophisticated

Signature-Suppression Systems minimized detection even by advanced quantum

sensors. Her advanced cyber-warfare suite was capable of real-time hacking,

electronic sabotage, and enemy system disruptions—tools critical for the covert

operations that lay ahead.

Inside,

sustainability was paramount. A fully self-sufficient life-support ecosystem

with hydroponics and synthetic food production systems meant she could

independently sustain her crew for 18 months without resupply. Complemented by

closed-loop oxygen recycling, this star ship was ready for prolonged deep-space

voyages, whether for exploration, warfare, diplomacy, or special operations.

Cassian

knew she represented hope, strength, and unity against the darkness brought by

the Nyxar Dominion. As he watched drones and automated bots flit around her

hull, performing final system checks, he couldn't help but feel a sense of

pride. The Xyrlaxis-Class wasn't just a ship—she was our home world's ultimate

defender, the vement of Aquilonis-Veridian resilience. So they asked me and Z

if we could put it through its paces by doing a war games to see how she

performed. So the plan was to see her under real life battle conditions. Where

at first she would try to hunt us down and then we swop around. I knew I needed

more crew for this so I asked my old friend Drakey how is

good at defensive tactics. I asked Elara

If she like observe how well the new battleship performed. I also asked if her

bodyguard (Vex) would be joining her as will if. I knew she good on Offensive tactics

and if I knew she also knew she thinks outside the box too. I did ask Vex if

she bring her ship (fury) because it would lock under my ship. I knew its going

to be tough they have a big advantage from the start. I am always for the

challenge too and my ship is quiet and nibble. Plus I've not told anyone one

about Vex spaceship underneath my ship. But war not fair anyway. So I know this

would tip the favour back towards me a bit it will give me more ways to test

the new battlecruiser a bit more. I also obtained three robots one was a

protocol/Language specialist

robot it's called Verba (Latin for "words"). This one will come in handy become it

can talk to ship quicker then I can. It can run diagnoses on my ship quickly

and help with work around to. The other two robot are repair robots they can

work inside and outside the ship when the ship on the go. Their names are NOVA-R3

(R3 for short) and AegirX (X for short). I knew for the war game the repair

robots should not be need fingers crossed.

So the

war game will begin in a couple of days so I had time to prep my ship with and

set up the computer so it would simulate getting hit by missiles and gun fire

from the battle trials. They are doing the same as us with their ship I have

done one modification to my ship just in case something happens. Like if the Nyxar's

tried to attack us and our new battlecruiser. With one button to switch us from

simulation to full battle mode I suggested that our Battlecruiser (vement of

Aquilonis-Veridian resilience) to do the same as us. So let the games begin in

a few days we had set out some older battleship to give any early warning if

the Neyxar make a more to destroy our new battlecruiser which it still armed to

the teeth. They did make sure the war heads to missiles was put in a safe place

and secure on the ship. So we was ready I'd ask everyone one to get on my ship

now. So we can get things ready and get use to everything before the war game

begins.
