Chapter 106 - Chapter 92 : Incubation

The flying automobile drifted between Saturn's towering structures like a silent bird. Neon lights reflected across its glass surface in shifting hues of violet, blue, and gold.

Blue sat by the window, his eyes wide with quiet wonder as he stared at the endless futuristic city stretching in every direction. Vehicles flew above and below them in perfect synchronization, and towering buildings pulsed faintly as if the island itself were alive.

Morin sat beside him, relaxed and silent, his eyes forward, calm and unreadable.

Then suddenly, a voice echoed through the vehicle.

It did not belong to the robot.

It did not belong to anyone inside.

It belonged to the city.

"Incubation in two hours."

Blue blinked and looked around in confusion.

"Incubation?" he asked. "What's that?"

The robot driving spoke calmly without turning its head.

"It signals that Saturn is approaching night time."

Blue frowned slightly. Nighttime felt like such a simple concept, yet here, it sounded artificial , manufactured.

The robot continued.

"I'm afraid our ride ends here."

The vehicle began descending slowly, lowering itself with perfect precision until it touched the ground. The doors lifted open, and Blue and Morin stepped out onto the glowing street.

Without another word, the automobile lifted back into the air and vanished into the neon sky, leaving them alone.

Blue watched it disappear, then turned to Morin.

"Where is the CENTER again?"

Morin simply shrugged his shoulders.

He didn't know.

Blue sighed softly, scratching the back of his head.

"I guess we'll just walk."

They began moving through the streets without direction, their footsteps echoing faintly against the smooth metallic ground. The city was still alive with light, but something about it felt emptier now, quieter. The towering structures loomed above them like silent observers.

Time passed slowly as they wandered.

Then, after what felt like hours, the voice returned.

"Incubation beginning."

The artificial sun dimmed gradually, its light fading as if someone were lowering a curtain over the sky. Darkness spread across Saturn, and moments later, the artificial moon emerged , perfect, white, and emotionless.

The neon lights intensified immediately.

Purple , blue , gold.

They illuminated everything, reflecting across glass and metal, turning the entire city into a glowing dream.

Blue stopped walking and stared in awe.

"…It's beautiful," he whispered.

The city looked unreal. Like something that shouldn't exist.

Morin's eyes moved quietly across their surroundings until he noticed something in the distance , a glowing sign pointing in a specific direction.

THE CENTER

He pointed toward it silently.

Blue followed his gaze, and the two began walking again, guided by the sign. The streets were completely empty now. No robots. No people. Only the hum of distant energy and the soft glow of artificial light.

Eventually, they reached the building.

The CENTER stood before them, massive and made entirely of glass. But it was dark now. Silent. Closed.

Blue walked up to the entrance and stared at the sealed doors.

"…It's closed."

Morin nodded.

There was nothing else they could do.

Blue slowly sat down, leaning his back against the cool glass wall. Morin sat beside him, his posture relaxed but alert. Above them, the artificial moon watched without emotion.

Blue looked forward quietly.

"What should we do?"

Morin exhaled softly.

"We wait."

The neon lights reflected across their faces as silence settled between them. The city hummed faintly, alive but distant.

Minutes passed.

Neither of them spoke.

Gradually, Blue's eyelids grew heavy. His body relaxed, and without realizing it, he leaned slightly toward Morin. Morin did not move away. He remained there, steady and calm.

Under Saturn's artificial moon, surrounded by a silent futuristic world, the two of them slowly fell asleep.

Waiting for morning.
