Chapter 780: The Scenery of the Caribbean Sea
Bruno turned around to see the girls happily frolicking in the water.
Although he was on friendly terms with An Yi and the others, the difference between men and women made him feel that playing with them further might be inappropriate, especially after the earlier playful teasing.
So, Bruno began swimming farther out into the sea.
The ocean was calm today, with gentle waves lapping the surface, and the serene atmosphere carried him farther than he realized.
He eventually flipped onto his back, floating with his arms and legs stretched out. The sensation of weightlessness in the water, paired with the blue sky and drifting white clouds overhead, brought immense peace. With his ears submerged, the world seemed much quieter.
After a while, Bruno heard a distant noise. Looking back, he saw two jet skis slicing through the waves, speeding toward him.
As the jet skis drew nearer, Bruno smiled. It was Liu Yan and Zhang Liangying.
"Hey! What are you doing all the way out here?" Liu Yan shouted before reaching him. The two women slowed their jet skis and stopped in front of Bruno.
"Do you even know how to swim? Coming out to open waters on a jet ski?" Bruno teased loudly, recalling that Liu Yan couldn't swim.
"I'm wearing a life jacket, aren't I?" Liu Yan pouted. "I get it; you're great at swimming, being able to come this far."
She muttered under her breath, "I asked you to teach me before, and you didn't."
Bruno didn't catch what she said and asked, "What was that?"
Zhang Liangying chuckled and teased, "She's saying you wouldn't teach her how to swim, so she still can't."
Blushing, Liu Yan quickly changed the subject. "Aunt Liu asked me to call you back. She said the waves are getting bigger, and we should be cautious!"
Bruno glanced back toward the shore. Indeed, they were quite far from the beach, so it wasn't surprising that Liu Lili was worried.
Still, Bruno wasn't ready to return just yet. He asked Liu Yan, "Yan-jie, want to go farther out and explore?"
Liu Yan hesitated briefly but was tempted. Although the jet ski rental operator had warned against venturing into open waters, with Bruno around, she felt safe and eagerly nodded.
Zhang Liangying laughed, "Aunt Liu wanted us to bring you back, and now it looks like we're all getting pulled into this."
Bruno laughed heartily, climbed onto Liu Yan's jet ski, and took over the controls. Liu Yan sat behind him as a passenger.
"Let's go!" Bruno yelled, revving the engine before speeding off.
The jet ski picked up speed, skimming across the waves so fast it felt like it was flying. Liu Yan clung tightly to Bruno, the rushing wind making her reluctant to open her eyes.
"This is amazing!" she screamed, exhilarated by the thrilling ride.
Zhang Liangying followed closely on her jet ski, both vehicles zooming around the open sea. After a few loops, Bruno finally slowed down.
"Look!" Liu Yan pointed at the sky in the distance. "It's Tang Yan and An Yi!"
Two parasails floated gracefully in the sky, tethered to speedboats below. The bright, colorful sails rose slowly, offering a bird's-eye view of the stunning surroundings.
"I want to try that next!" Liu Yan said enviously before urging Bruno, "Let's head back. Jet skiing is starting to get boring."
Bruno chuckled to himself. She was just shouting in excitement a moment ago, and now she's calling it boring?
Without protesting, Bruno turned the jet ski around and drove back to the beach.
When they returned, Bruno noticed Vanessa had set up a comfortable arrangement on the shore.
Five tents were neatly pitched on the golden sand, each with beach chairs lined up outside. Nearby, attendants were ready with cold drinks and fresh fruit.
Vanessa had thought of everything, ensuring everyone could enjoy the sun, sand, and sea in ultimate comfort.
Seeing Bruno, Liu Yan, and Zhang Liangying return, Vanessa called them over to relax. Attendants brought over chilled cocktails and refreshing beverages.
"Where's Aunt Liu and the others?" Liu Yan asked, noticing that Liu Lili and the others weren't around.
"They went to the dock over there," Vanessa said, pointing ahead. "It looks like parasailing is popular today."
She added with a smile, "Everyone seems to love it!"
"I want to try it too!" Liu Yan exclaimed after taking a sip of her cocktail. She turned to Zhang Liangying and asked, "Are you coming?"
Zhang Liangying shook her head. "I think I'll stay here and relax for a bit."
Liu Yan then turned to Bruno. But having just dried off with a towel, Bruno wasn't eager to head back into the water and said, "You go ahead. I'll join later."
Seeing their responses, Liu Yan didn't dwell on it and excitedly prepared to head out alone.
Just as she was leaving, Vanessa called her back.
"Is there something you need, Vanessa?" Liu Yan asked, turning around.
"It's a bit far from here," Vanessa said, pointing at two dune buggies parked nearby. "Take one of those to get there."
"Wow, Vanessa, you prepared all these buggies too?" Liu Yan asked, pleasantly surprised.
Vanessa smiled and nodded.
"That's amazing!" Liu Yan exclaimed, giving Vanessa a quick peck on the cheek before dashing off to climb onto one of the buggies. With a joyful cheer, she drove off toward the dock.
The beach was equipped with vehicles and boats—everything was conveniently arranged.
"You're so thoughtful," Bruno said sincerely, nodding in appreciation. "Vanessa, you've really surprised everyone with all your preparations this time."
"As long as everyone's having fun, that's all that matters," Vanessa replied, clearly pleased with Bruno's compliment. Her efforts had not gone unnoticed.
"Thanks for all your hard work!" Bruno said, fully aware of how much thought Vanessa had put into making everything perfect.
Bruno sipped his chilled drink, the warm sea breeze brushing against his face. Surrounded by beautiful company, he couldn't help but feel life was utterly blissful.
While reclining on a beach chair, he noticed several dune buggies approaching in the distance. Leading the group was Liu Yan, with Liu Yimei riding along, followed closely by Liu Lili and the others.
When Liu Yan walked into the tent, Zhang Liangying asked curiously, "What? Back so soon?"
Liu Yan shook her head. "Don't even ask. There are just too many people waiting over there. I'll go back later."
Carrying a plate of watermelon, Liu Lili walked over. Hearing Liu Yan's complaint, she smiled and said, "Don't worry. I spoke with the owner over there. Once this current group finishes, we've booked the parasails for the afternoon."
She picked up a toothpick, speared a piece of watermelon, and handed it to Bruno. "Bruno, you should try it too later."
"Sure," Bruno said with a grin, biting into the watermelon. "Let's all go together."
Even the freshest activities lose their novelty after a while, especially when fatigue sets in. Before long, An Yi, Tang Yan, and the others returned to the tent, making the space lively once more.
As evening approached, the group reluctantly ended their fun and returned to the villa to rinse off and change clothes. Dinner on the beach awaited them—a buffet that Vanessa had thoughtfully ordered from a five-star hotel in Nassau.
Given that most of the group were Chinese, Vanessa had also ensured the menu included Chinese cuisine.
The lavish feast, paired with the gentle sea breeze and the backdrop of a breathtaking sunset, created a romantic and cozy atmosphere.
With the tide coming in, the sea drew closer to their gathering.
Taking advantage of the time before dinner, Bruno took Liu Yimei's hand, and the two strolled barefoot along the beach.
Liu Yimei bent down from time to time, collecting shells from the shore. Bruno felt a deep sense of tranquility, enjoying the leisurely moments with her and the others.
The thought of Liu Yimei carrying his child filled him with immense joy. In the near future, he would be a father—an exhilarating and heartwarming prospect.
"Hey!" Liu Lili called out from a distance, waving at them. "Bruno, Yimei, come back for dinner!"
From the tent, the others waved enthusiastically as well. Sharing a smile, Bruno and Liu Yimei held hands as they walked back together.
Nearby, the hired chefs were busy preparing a sumptuous meal. Steaks, fine wine, lobster feasts—everyone savored the delicious spread with delight.
After dinner, Bruno lit a bonfire on the beach. The women gathered around, singing and dancing joyfully, making the day even more memorable.
"Hey, Bruno," Tang Yan and An Yi said, walking over. "We heard you have a yacht. Are you planning to go diving tomorrow?"
Bruno glanced at Vanessa, then raised an eyebrow with a smile. "Yes, why? Is there an issue?"
"Can we join?" An Yi asked without hesitation, as casual as ever.
"Sure," Bruno said, grinning mischievously. "But there's a $500 boarding fee per person." He gestured with his fingers, teasing her.
An Yi rolled her eyes playfully. "Wow, extortion much?"
She grabbed Vanessa's arm and pouted, "Vanessa, help me out here. Is Bruno being reasonable with this fee?"
Vanessa chuckled. "Well, technically it's not reasonable. But considering he's covering your food and entertainment, I'd say charging a little isn't entirely unfair."
Bruno laughed as Vanessa sided with him.
An Yi pouted in mock annoyance, but Tang Yan pulled her aside, laughing. "Bruno's just messing with you. Getting mad would only mean you're falling into his trap."
An Yi giggled too. "I'm not falling for it! But listen up, Bruno—we're joining you tomorrow! Me, Tang Yan, Liu Yan, and Zhang Liangying. Don't even think about sneaking off without us!"
Bruno raised his hands in mock surrender. "Alright, alright. You're all coming. Happy now?"
