The celebration continued with drums made from beast hide echoing deep across the valley, horns blaring in rhythmic waves, and young demons running between tables while the older ones watched with silent awe. Food was being passed, cups raised, and laughter began to return — even though the presence of the Abyss Lord kept many of them whispering instead of shouting.
At one side of the celebration, a small group of young demons crouched behind their parents, eyes wide as they peeked at Seojun from afar.
"Mother," a little Grimporc — a pig-like demon child with tusks and big curious eyes — whispered while tugging on his mother's thick sleeve. "Is the Abyss Lord… really a human?"
The Grimporc mother, a stout demon with cracked armor and a warm gaze, smiled softly and crouched beside him. "Yes," she whispered back, glancing around to make sure no one nearby would scold her. "You heard it from your great-great-grandma, right?"
