"I want to go to the funeral! I need to make her regret what she did. I want to laugh at her!" Mattie's voice echoed all over the living room as she paced around looking crazy.
"Ma'am but the boss warned us not to allow you." one of the maids announced but she was having it, she glanced at her and slapped her making her hit the ground.
"Don't you dare tell me what to do!" Mattie barked out.
Just then Stephan stepped inside, unknown to Mattie, his face darkened seeing how she wasn't listening to them.
He grabbed Mattie's arm, pulling her back. "What's wrong with you?" he shouted. "You're pregnant, for God's sake! Do you want me to teach you a lesson the hard way?" The maid saw this as an opportunity to leave the living room immediately.
Mattie's laughter echoed through the air, a cold, mirthless sound. "Pregnant?" she repeated, her voice laced with scorn.
"You mean the pregnancy I already took care of?" She laughed again, making Stephan's grip loosen.
