Yino had never really taken Ye Huai seriously from the start.
But even if he didn't go looking for trouble, Ye Huai would come looking for him.
Two nights ago, while the Lin mansion elders were searching the back mountains for Yino's whereabouts, he'd taken refuge in Ye Chaerin's room to hide.
That's when Yino overheard a rather intriguing conversation from inside Chaerin's quarters.
First, he heard someone knocking at the door late at night. In a panic, Chaerin quickly gestured for Yino to hide in the wardrobe, then went to answer the door alone.
Yino had expected it to be another elder from the Lin mansion causing trouble, but the visitor's opening words made his brow furrow.
"Master, forgive me for disturbing you so late, but please don't be angry! I truly have urgent business, it's about rumors concerning Yino!"
Ye Huai's voice was rushed. Even though Yino couldn't see him from inside the wardrobe, he could picture the scene outside from the tone alone.
