Chapter 230 - Chapter 230: Armored Fight (1)

[Third Person's PoV]

Tony and Melissa exchanged a quick glance, the kind that said everything without a word. Then, almost simultaneously, their eyes lifted toward the two massive armored figures hovering menacingly above the open ceiling of the shopping mall, their bulky frames casting long shadows.

"I call dibs on the red one," Tony declared with a grin, his voice filled with excitement and adrenaline.

Without hesitation, he leapt forward, stepping onto the third-floor railing with the ease of a seasoned acrobat. With a powerful push, he launched himself high into the air, soaring upward toward the crimson-armored figure.

Melissa narrowed her eyes playfully, her expression determined. "I was going to call dibs on the green one anyway!" she shouted after him.

She followed right behind, her movements fluid and confident. Using the railing as a springboard, she vaulted gracefully into the sky, trailing a rush of wind behind her.

As both of them ascended, their suits emerged from beneath their skin like liquid metal—each molecular component responding to the call of their respective reactors. Tony's mask snapped shut over his face with a sharp hiss, while Melissa's sleek helmet slid into place around her head as her Asgardian inspired armor surrounded her. Energy flared to life across their armor—mini-reactors pulsing with power, and their thrusters igniting with controlled bursts of light and flame.

They separated mid-air, each rocketing toward their target with trails of plasma streaming behind them.

Tony, now flying parallel to the sunroof, glanced upward. With nothing but a thought, he manipulated the floating shards of shattered glass from the broken skylight, sending them like a crystalline barrage toward the red-armored figure: the Crimson Dynamo.

But Crimson Dynamo raised both gauntlets with mechanical precision. From the center of his palms, a sudden burst of blinding, golden solar radiation erupted—an intense beam that vaporized the shards instantly in a wave of raw heat.

Tony responded with his own countermeasure. Twin repulsor blasts shot from his palms, searing through the air and colliding with the energy wave. The shockwave from the impact rippled outward, but Tony wasn't finished. A sudden hum built in his chest as he charged and unleashed a powerful unibeam, the energy lancing out like a focused sunflare. It smashed into the Dynamo's chest, engulfing him in light and force before launching him through the sky, smashing through the sunroof and sending him flying into the skyline beyond the mall.

Meanwhile, Melissa's HUD flared with warnings as her target—Titanium Man—activated his own weapon. From the armor plating on his forearm, a long, glowing blade ignited, bathed in an eerie green light.

Her scanner immediately picked up the radiation signature.

"Gamma-based weaponry…" her AI mused. "Highly penetrative. Potentially lethal. However ineffective against your suit"

Melissa only laughed.

With a flick of her wrist, her hammer materialized, arcs of electricity dancing across its surface. She swung it forward, unleashing a massive surge of lightning that blasted through the air like a divine storm.

Titanium Man brought his blade up to deflect, slicing through the center of the electric surge. But even with the cutting edge of his gamma weapon, the sheer force of the energy overwhelmed him. The blast sent him tumbling backward, crashing into a concrete support beam and fracturing it on impact.

Back in the sky, Tony hovered in place, his suit stabilizing with short pulses of energy. His voice echoed through his comms, loud and incredulous.

"Tell me something!" he called out. "What kind of grudge do you have against me that you thought it'd be a good idea to ruin my shopping trip?!"

From across the skyline, Crimson Dynamo reoriented himself mid-air, his armor flaring to regain altitude. His response came in a flat, emotionless tone.

"There is no grudge," he said plainly. "I simply don't like you."

Tony's hand froze mid-gesture. He blinked behind his helmet, caught completely off guard.

"You know," he said slowly, "I think it would've hurt less if this was personal. At least that would've made sense. But this? This just feels… mean."

"Too bad," the Crimson Dynamo replied. With a surge of power, multiple energy cannons emerged from his back and shoulders, each one glowing with concentrated solar energy.

In an instant, Tony extended his hand, generating a wide energy field around the Dynamo. The force field snapped into place just as the cannons discharged, trapping the villain in a cage of his own fury.

The explosion inside was cataclysmic. Blinding light erupted in every direction. The force field buckled and cracked under the relentless energy, its layers fracturing like glass under strain. Just as the containment barrier began to collapse, Tony layered it—again and again—multiple energy walls forming like nested armor.

Despite his efforts, the final burst of heat shattered the field entirely, vaporizing the last layer. But by then, the Crimson Dynamo had exhausted most of his energy reserves. He hovered weakly, drifting into a sunbeam as his armor began siphoning solar radiation to recharge.

Tony gave him a mock bow. "Alright, you've had your turn. Now I believe it's my move."

"You're mistaken," Crimson Dynamo growled, flaring his thrusters. A sonic boom followed as he shattered the sound barrier, rocketing toward Tony like a meteor.

Windows shattered across nearby buildings from the sheer velocity of his flight. His energy-coated fist flew forward, glowing bright with destructive power.

But Tony didn't flinch.

There was a thunderous bang as Tony caught the punch with a single, armored hand. Sparks flew on impact, and the air trembled around them. The servos in Tony's arm hissed and hissed again, absorbing and redirecting the kinetic force.

Tony's voice was calm, collected—and cold.

"Now, now, Mr. Crimson. Let's remember our manners," he said, twisting the arm slightly. "I said it was my turn."

And with that, he delivered a crushing blow to the Dynamo's chest. The impact folded metal and sent the red-armored titan flying backward, smashing through one building after another, his path traced by a trail of smoke and debris streaking across the skyline.

Tony streaked through the sky, hot on the heels of the Crimson Dynamo. The villain, while still hurtling backward, raised both arms and unleashed a wild barrage of solar-charged energy blasts. Bright beams lit up the sky like a fireworks show gone rogue, exploding in midair and against buildings as Tony expertly weaved through them with aerial finesse.

He twisted and twirled between the blasts, redirecting a few with his hands—swatting them aside like bothersome insects. Each detonation sent shockwaves through the air, shattering glass and shaking the city below.

The Crimson Dynamo finally skidded to a stop on a busy intersection, his landing tearing apart the asphalt and sending vehicles swerving and civilians screaming. Without pause, he spun around, seized a car in each hand, and hurled them toward Tony.

It wasn't just one. He continued, grabbing multiple cars from the elevated highway above and flinging them like toys, trying to overwhelm Tony with sheer chaos.

Tony's eyes narrowed beneath his helmet. His suit's core hummed as his arc reactors shifted in color, glowing a bright silver-blue. He extended both arms, and each of the flying cars was caught mid-air, suspended in shimmering energy constructs. The glowing outlines reshaped the vehicles, converting them into sleek fighter jet constructs that gently landed on the ground, safely out of harm's way.

Tony accelerated downward at blinding speed, streaking toward the Dynamo like a missile. "Let's keep our hands to ourselves, yeah?! This is our fight!" he snapped.

He skimmed across the road with incredible speed, his boots barely touching the ground before he launched upward with a fierce uppercut. His punch connected squarely with the Dynamo's chest, sending the armored brute rocketing back into the air. The street beneath them shattered from the sheer force, asphalt and concrete erupting like an earthquake.

Tony crouched low, then propelled himself after the Dynamo. As he closed the distance, he summoned a massive energy construct—a glowing sphere that wrapped around his opponent—and behind it, he conjured a comically large paddle on a glowing string.

The paddle slapped back and forth, rapidly smacking the contained Dynamo inside the energy ball, rattling him like a pinball.

Inside the construct, the Crimson Dynamo snarled. His armor turned an angry, molten red as he channeled his internal power. With a furious roar, he punched outward with a blinding burst of energy, shattering the construct with an explosive force.

"I'm not here to play childish games, Stark!" the Dynamo bellowed.

The star-shaped reactor in his chest blazed with energy, glowing red-hot before it discharged a massive beam of concentrated heat. The air rippled and warped as the blast surged toward Tony.

Tony didn't flinch. With a flick of his wrist, he formed a massive reflective construct—an energy mirror that caught the beam and redirected it back at its source.

The beam struck the Dynamo dead-on. He crossed his arms and braced himself, steam billowing off his armor as the heat washed over him. The ground beneath him melted and cracked from the temperature. When the light finally cleared, he was still standing, though his armor glowed like embers, and steam hissed from every joint.

Still furious, the Crimson Dynamo launched forward, engines screaming as he closed the gap and unleashed a flurry of punches.

Tony held his ground, deflecting each blow with calculated movements. Every strike rang out with a loud metallic clang, the Dynamo's fists moving at superhuman speed, each one radiating raw solar radiation. But Tony remained unmoved, absorbing the hits with his armor's reinforced plating.

Then Tony struck.

He pressed his palm against the Dynamo's chest reactor and unleashed a burst of concentrated electromagnetic force. A powerful shockwave erupted, sending the Dynamo flying back like a rocket. The resulting sonic boom echoed across the city as he smashed through the skyline and into the ground below, digging furrows into the earth as he tried to stop himself.

Just as he steadied, a new shadow loomed over both of them. A colossal figure rose behind the buildings—tall enough to dwarf skyscrapers.

Mount Lady.

Her giant form towered above them, blocking out the sun.

"Well, well, well! What do we have here?" she said in a singsong voice. "You two look like little action figures from up here!"

Tony's eyes widened beneath his helmet. "Oh no."

She reached down with both massive hands and grabbed the Crimson Dynamo between her fingers like a mischievous child holding a wind-up toy.

"Wait, no—stop! You don't know what you're dealing with—!" Tony shouted, alarmed.

But it was too late.

The Dynamo growled, his body glowing with inner heat as he braced his limbs against her fingers. Then, with a mighty heave, he forced her hands apart and flipped her over his shoulder.

"WHAT THE—!" Mount Lady yelped as she lost control of her balance.

The Crimson Dynamo hurled her colossal form toward Tony like a wrecking ball. And Tony, if he didn't to penetrate straight through her body, had no choice but to take the hit. He dove under her with arms crossed as her full weight came crashing down.

Mount Lady slammed into Tony with an earth-shaking boom. Pavement exploded, cars were tossed like toys, and a small crater formed where Tony disappeared beneath her. A long groan of surprise and pain escaped her lips as she lay sprawled across the wreckage.

Tony's voice, muffled and filled with irritation, emerged from beneath her. "You've got to be kidding me…"

From above, Mount Lady looked down sheepishly, her expression dazed.

Then came Tony's shout, furious and dry:

"You stupid bimbo! Don't get in my way!!"
