Chapter 224 - Chapter 224: Party Time (2)

[Third Person's PoV]

Loud music thumped through the house, vibrating through the walls as flashing lights danced across every surface. The party had hit full swing, the energy infectious as every corner of the house buzzed with activity. Everyone had arrived, laughter and chatter flowing freely as the atmosphere grew more electric by the minute.

Outside, Denki Kaminari and Eijiro Kirishima stood near the pool, both clad in brightly colored swim trunks. Without a second thought, they sprinted forward with wild grins plastered across their faces and launched into the air.

"Cannonball!!" they shouted in unison.

A massive splash erupted as they hit the water, sending a towering pillar of water into the air. It rained down upon everyone within the blast radius, soaking even those who hadn't planned on swimming. Screams and laughter echoed around the pool as everyone ducked and shielded themselves from the unexpected downpour.

A short distance away, connected to the main pool, was a luxurious hot tub. The bubbling water glowed with a rainbow of LED lights, casting an almost magical glow in the setting sun. Most of the girls had retreated there, practically melting into the steamy warmth. Among them was Asui, who looked so relaxed she could've passed for a sleeping derpy frog.

"Tsu, are you alright?" Uraraka asked, leaning over to poke her friend's cheeks.

Asui barely responded, her eyelids drooping and her face slack. "I've gone to heaven…" she muttered dreamily.

Uraraka and Mina giggled as they joined her in the hot tub, letting out long sighs of contentment as the bubbles wrapped around them.

On the opposite side of the pool, another hot tub was occupied by several of the boys — Tokoyami, Shoji,Koda, Sero, and Sato — who were quietly relaxing and enjoying the moment, away from the main chaos.

Nearby, Momo and Jiro were seated at the pool's edge, legs submerged and swinging back and forth. Their tranquil moment was suddenly interrupted as the wave from Kirishima and Denki's cannonball crashed over them.

"Denki! Kirishima! Ughh, I wasn't planning on getting soaked!" Jiro snapped, glaring down at her now-soaked clothes.

In the center of the pool, Kirishima floated like a stiff plank, completely relaxed. Meanwhile, Deku, Iida, and Todoroki were taking the opportunity to swim laps and train, treating the party as a mini workout session.

Denki floated lazily toward the edge of the pool, the water glistening on his toned body. He slicked back his yellow-and-black hair and rested his arms on the ledge beside Jiro, flashing a charming grin.

"Sorry about that," he said playfully. "We just couldn't help ourselves."

Jiro's cheeks turned slightly pink, which didn't go unnoticed. Momo raised an eyebrow in amusement, a sly smile playing on her lips. However, her smile faltered as she realized she was starting to act like Melissa — mischievous and teasing. She quickly straightened her expression, slightly embarrassed at the thought.

Kirishima waved a thumbs-up from the pool. "Sorry!" he called, floating aimlessly with a carefree grin.

Inside the house, the main area had been transformed into a makeshift arcade and lounge, with furniture pushed aside to make space for board games, tabletop games, and other activities.

Perhaps the strangest sight of the night was Tony Stark and Katsuki Bakugo — of all people — locked in a tense game of pool. Bakugo stood hunched over the table, pool cue balanced between his fingers as he focused intensely on his shot. Tony, in contrast, leaned casually on his stick, observing with a knowing smirk.

A few feet away, Melissa and Toru were playing a game of "beer pong" — minus the beer — against Ojiro and Aoyama. Laughter erupted as Aoyama dramatically downed his third cup of juice, glittering as usual.

Toru glanced across the room and frowned. Mineta sat alone on the couch, wearing oversized VR goggles, hands outstretched as he squeezed the air like a mime.

"Boobies~!" he muttered dreamily.

Toru's face twisted in confusion and mild disgust. "What… just what is he doing?"

Melissa looked embarrassed, scratching the back of her head. "That was Tony's idea. He knew Mineta might ruin the mood for the girls if they wanted to swim or go to the beach. So… he gave him a VR headset. Now he can bother virtual girls instead of real ones."

Toru raised a brow. "That's disturbingly considerate… Why was he even invited?"

Melissa chuckled. "Believe it or not, Tony would have felt bad."

"Seriously?" Toru said, just as Ojiro made a perfect shot, the ball landing cleanly in a red solo cup.

Melissa retrieved the ball, shaking off the juice before lifting the cup to her lips. "Cute, right?" she said with a wink before taking the drink.

Back at the pool table, Bakugo missed his shot, scowling as the cue ball ricocheted uselessly and the other balls scattered.

"Come on, are you even trying~?" Tony teased, spinning his cue in his hand as he stepped forward.

Bakugo glared. "Alright, you smug bastard. Let's see you pull off this shot."

The cue ball had landed in a terrible spot — directly behind one of Bakugo's balls, effectively blocking Tony's target.

Tony didn't seem fazed. "My short-tempered friend," he began, smirking as he perched on the edge of the table, "when will you learn? This game is all about math."

With a smooth motion, he angled the stick high, brought it down, and performed a jump shot. The cue ball leapt cleanly over Bakugo's piece, struck Tony's target with perfect spin, and sent it rolling into the corner pocket.

Bakugo stared for a moment, dumbfounded. Then, with a grunt, he set his pool cue aside and walked away.

"This game sucks anyway. I'm taking a dip in your stupid pool," he muttered.

Tony burst into laughter as Bakugo stalked off, his ears tinged red. The party carried on — loud, chaotic, and full of energy — just as any great celebration should be.

…

The party carried on well into the evening, gradually shifting into a more relaxed and experimental atmosphere as people began drifting towards different areas of the house and trying out new activities. One of the most popular destinations was the beach nearby, where the cool breeze and soft crashing waves offered a refreshing contrast to the earlier chaos.

Tony and Momo were walking side by side along the moonlit shoreline, the sand soft beneath their feet. The distant sounds of laughter and splashing water echoed behind them as Momo shared what she had observed earlier with a light, teasing tone.

"Hehehe, you should have seen Jiro earlier," Momo said, zipping up the oversized hoodie she wore—one that just barely reached her upper thighs. "I'm pretty sure she's starting to develop feelings for Kaminari. Although I'm not entirely sure, I still think they'd make a really cute couple together."

Tony raised a brow, skeptical. "Seriously? That came out of nowhere."

"No, it didn't!" Momo laughed softly. "I think it started during your group training sessions. Since they've been spending more time together outside of school, they've gotten pretty close. Jiro even mentioned that they've been recommending music to each other lately."

Tony smirked. "Should you really be telling me this?"

Momo's body stiffened, her steps suddenly becoming robotic as she slowly turned her head towards him, panic written all over her face. "Oh no... I didn't mean to overshare! I just feel so comfortable around you, and then I start talking without thinking!"

Placing her hand on her forehead, she groaned. "She didn't tell me to keep it a secret… we were just having a casual girls' talk. So it's okay, right?"

Tony chuckled and gently took her hand, leading her to a more secluded spot between some rocks that shielded them from view. "You are seriously adorable, you know that?" he said with a warm smile as he pulled her into a hug.

Momo immediately wrapped her arms around his strong, muscular frame, her hands splaying across his back as she buried her face against his chest. "Seriously though," she mumbled with a slight pout, "I really hope I didn't say too much."

"It's fine," Tony reassured her, running his hand gently through her long, silky hair. "First, you didn't mean to. Second, whatever you tell me stays between us. Think of it as boyfriend-girlfriend confidentiality."

She visibly relaxed, her shoulders no longer tense. Tilting her head up, her chin resting lightly against his chest, she gazed up at him. "Alright… but you have to promise. No sharing anything I tell you."

Smiling softly, Tony cupped her cheek and leaned down to press a tender kiss to her lips. "There," he whispered, "how's that for a promise?"

"Hmmm…" she teased, a playful smirk forming on her lips, "I don't know. I might need a little more reassurance."

Tony blinked, amused. "Where did you learn to be smooth like that?"

"From the best," Momo replied with a wink.

Grinning, Tony leaned in for another kiss. "Good answer."

They exchanged several kisses, soft at first, filled with laughter and warmth. But soon their affection deepened—each kiss growing slower and more passionate, their separation becoming shorter and less frequent. They hummed quietly into each other's mouths, lost in their own world.

That is, until a sudden sharp gasp shattered the moment.

Startled, they both froze and turned their heads toward the source of the noise. Standing just a few feet away were Uraraka and Asui—both frozen like statues, their eyes wide in shock and horror, like children who had just witnessed their parents commit a crime.

Standing beside them was Melissa, who blinked once before a spark of mischief flickered behind her eyes.

With a sudden, dramatic sob, Melissa raised her forearm over her eyes and spun on her heel, running away while crying out in theatrical agony. "Tony! How could you!? And with my best friend no less! You animal!"

"Melissa, wait!!" Uraraka and Asui called out in unison, panic in their voices.

Uraraka and Asui cast them one final glance—an expression of sheer betrayal and silent judgment, as if they had just uncovered a deep, dark secret. Without another word, they turned and chased after Melissa, still crying dramatically.

Left alone, Momo groaned in complete mortification. She covered her face with her hands, crouching down in the sand as she let out a long, high-pitched scream of embarrassment.

Tony stared up at the night sky, exhaling slowly as he placed his hands on his hips.

"I'm going to kill Melissa after this…"
