Chapter 110 - Chapter 108: Wrath

Chapter 108: Wrath

The frozen wilderness stretched endlessly beneath the night sky.

Snowstorms moved across ancient ice fields.

The dead marched.

Thousands upon thousands of wights moved across the frozen landscape.

Silent.

Endless.

Behind them walked four White Walkers.

The remaining generals had gathered their forces after the failure at Frost Stations Seven, Nine, and Twelve.

One of their brothers was dead.

Entire armies had been destroyed.

Yet their mission continued.

The dead marched north.

Preparing.

Waiting.

Learning.

Then the sky changed.

One White Walker stopped.

Its glowing blue eyes lifted upward.

Something was descending.

Fast.

Very fast.

The other White Walkers noticed it as well.

The dead continued marching.

Unaware.

The object grew larger.

Closer.

Closer.

Then—

BOOM!

The earth exploded.

Ice shattered.

Snow erupted hundreds of feet into the air.

A crater appeared in the middle of the marching army.

Thousands of wights stumbled.

The White Walkers froze.

At the center of the crater stood a man.

Black cloak.

Black hair.

Blue-grey eyes.

A single human.

Alone.

Surrounded by tens of thousands of dead.

Yet he showed no fear.

Not even a little.

Jon Snow slowly raised his head.

His eyes moved across the battlefield.

Across the dead.

Across the White Walkers.

The memories returned.

The radio transmissions.

The names carved into stone.

The families at the memorial.

The anger inside him intensified.

The White Walkers watched.

Confused.

Humans feared them.

Humans ran.

Humans hid.

This human had landed in the center of their army.

Alone.

One White Walker raised its icy spear.

Immediately.

The command spread through the army.

Kill him.

Thousands of wights charged.

From every direction.

An endless tide of death.

Jon didn't move.

He simply stared.

Then formed a single hand seal.

Wood Style.

Deep Forest Emergence.

The world exploded.

The frozen earth shattered.

Roots erupted upward.

Then trees.

Gigantic trees.

Massive trunks wider than castle towers burst from the ground.

The forest expanded like a tsunami.

Miles of frozen land vanished beneath wood.

Thousands of roots swept through the battlefield.

The dead disappeared instantly.

Crushed.

Impaled.

Buried.

Engulfed.

The White Walkers watched in disbelief.

The forest continued growing.

Hundreds of feet tall.

Then thousands.

An entire forest appeared where frozen wasteland had existed moments before.

The charging army vanished.

More than five thousand dead disappeared within seconds.

The White Walkers immediately leaped backward.

Escaping the expanding forest.

For the first time—

Confusion appeared.

The dead did not understand.

The White Walkers did not understand.

Nothing like this existed in their world.

Nothing.

Jon slowly rose into the sky.

The Light-Weight Rock Technique carried him upward.

Higher.

Higher.

Until he stood above the battlefield itself.

Floating.

The White Walkers stared.

A human.

Flying.

Impossible.

Their world had no answer for this.

No explanation.

No understanding.

Jon looked down at them.

The rage inside him had not diminished.

It had only grown.

The forest below continued crushing the dead.

Thousands were still trapped beneath roots and branches.

Still being destroyed.

Still dying.

Then Jon formed another hand seal.

Fire Style.

Majestic Destroyer Flame.

The night became fire.

A sea of flames erupted from his mouth.

Not a stream.

Not a wave.

A tsunami.

Fire consumed the sky itself.

The inferno descended upon the forest.

The dry wood ignited instantly.

The entire battlefield exploded.

The flames spread in every direction.

Miles of burning forest.

Miles of screaming dead.

The firestorm swallowed everything.

Wights burned alive.

Thousands.

Then thousands more.

The forest became a furnace.

The snow melted instantly.

Steam filled the air.

The dead screamed.

An endless chorus of agony.

Yet Jon did not stop.

More fire.

Then more.

Then more.

Each jutsu larger than the last.

The inferno intensified.

The entire horizon burned red.

The White Walkers retreated farther away.

Not because the fire harmed them.

Because they could no longer approach.

The battlefield had become hell itself.

They watched from distant ridges.

Watching their armies disappear.

Watching tens of thousands of dead burn.

Watching the impossible human floating in the sky.

The White Walkers had lived for centuries.

They had seen kingdoms fall.

They had seen armies break.

They had watched humanity tremble before them.

Never.

Not once.

Had they imagined a human could do this.

The burning forest stretched endlessly.

The dead died by the thousands.

And above the flames floated Jon Snow.

Like a wrathful god descending upon the world.

His cloak moved in the wind.

Fire reflected in his eyes.

The White Walkers could only watch.

For the first time in their existence...

They understood fear.

And the slaughter had only begun.
