"Don't worry," Luciel replied, pulling a vine taut and bringing down another bird. "They'll hold out. I already took care of all the huge birds there before I started roaming. Even if more show up, they'll manage. After I'm done here, I plan on circling back to the villa anyway."
"What about you guys? Do you plan to stay here?" Luciel asked, slicing through another bird with his sword.
"No, we plan to head to the walls and help the soldiers there. Then we'll come back here later since it's nearby," Treyton replied, readying a barrage of sharp metal projectiles to attack a new wave of incoming birds.
"I see. Then I'll go with you guys for a bit before circling back to the villa."
"Yeah, thanks."
"Yes, you should thank me. I'm already out here killing a lot of these f*cking birds," Luciel said, his blade cutting clean through another avian target.
"Yeah, what do you want this time?"
Treyton knew him well. He already figured Luciel would ask for some kind of compensation later.
