Ou carried his little sister upstairs, letting her sleep in his room. Though he was just a kid, he took very good care of Qingtian, often helping Sister Fang look after her.
Qingtian, so small, lay on her brother's pillow with her eyes wide open, not sleepy at all, staring at the ceiling.
Suddenly, Ou thought of something. He got out of bed barefoot, pulled back the curtains, and invited Qingtian over.
Listening to her brother, Qingtian rolled out of bed and stood by the window as well.
Ou opened the window, pointed to the stars in the sky, and said, "Grandma went there, and from now on she'll be there. We just have to look up to see her."
Qingtian blinked, with an air of confidence, and said, "Oh."
Qingtian didn't remember what Grandma looked like, having had very few chances to meet her.
Ou knew this too but thoughtfully explained to Qingtian that Grandma was no longer around.
