Chapter 290 - Chapter 145 Training Goku? (Part 2)

Back on Earth.

Although another seven months had passed, during this period, the three of them still returned from time to time.

Talot and Salari returned to West City.

When Bulma learned of what had happened in recent days, and that Talot and Salari wouldn't be going out to train for the near future, she was extremely happy.

She had actually always wanted Talot nearby; after all, what woman wants her man to be apart from her all the time?

Raditz returned to Mount Paozu and explained the recent events to Launch and Gine.

Over the years he had been out training, and even while at Mount Paozu he never forgot to train.

Now that things could be calm for a while, Gine and Launch were overjoyed, and Son Gohan was also very pleased.

Unconsciously, people with no blood ties living together had become, in a sense, family.

On the second day after returning to Earth, Talot arrived on Mount Paozu with Salari and Bulma.

Of course, they returned to see Aunt Gine and Son Gohan.

He also brought up the matter of Vegeta and Nappa, as well as the World Martial Arts Tournament which will be held in about four months.

Finally he mentioned bringing back Kakarot to train him.

Talot's decisions were generally not questioned.

All these years everyone had followed him, and that's why things were as they are today.

However, when Talot said he wanted to train Goku, everyone was incredulous, especially Gine and Raditz.

Before, Talot had opposed active interference; now he was going to overturn his previous decision.

Talot's answer was that people are alive, and their thoughts change from moment to moment.

Like many things, what was considered right in the past may be wrong when you look back on it in the future.

"Actually, the reason I made this decision is because Vegeta and Nappa are coming soon," Talot suddenly said, changing the subject.

"Brother Talot, you don't mean to have Kakarot face Vegeta and Nappa, do you? Although many years have passed and we don't know how strong they've become, their power level must at least be in the tens of thousands. Kakarot's current power level is only around three hundred, right?" Salari exclaimed.

When the others heard that, their faces fell, especially Gine and Raditz.

Of course, Son Gohan, as the grandfather, also wore an unusually solemn expression.

But knowing Talot's character, he wanted to hear Talot explain in detail.

"I do have that idea, but not entirely! My goal is to ensure that even if we aren't around in the future, there will still be someone who can stand up and defend Earth! Most importantly, I want Kakarot to have the ability to protect himself. Right now, although he's considered strong among Earthlings, if an enemy invades, his current strength is far from enough," Talot said.

When those words came out, everyone exchanged looks.

Raditz understood Talot's purpose, seemed to struggle inwardly, then replied, "Although I've always thought that as long as I become strong enough, my brother and mother can live safely for their whole lives, even if Kakarot stayed like that, I could watch over him… but Talot, you're right. We can't stay on Earth forever; if he doesn't even have the strength to protect himself, one day something could happen."

Talot nodded slightly at that.

Gine, as a mother, was even more glum.

"Kakarot's power level may be low, but he has always worked very hard, and as his older brothers and sister you should all have seen that. When we found Kakarot, I hoped he could live on Earth without worries. Now, watching him slowly grow from a power level of only 2 to now over 300, he truly has talent, and I've always hoped you all could take him along with you," Gine said.

As a mother and as an elder, Gine was more than qualified.

She poured a great deal of affection on Kakarot, and on Raditz, Talot, and Salari as well.

She thought of everything thoroughly, yet never forced any family member to do something they didn't want to do.

She even constantly supported their growth.

"Aunt Gine, don't worry. Now that this decision's been made, I've planned it out, and I'm confident I can get Kakarot to grow in a short time, even turn Kakarot into a Super Saiyan," Talot said, calming Gine with an assured look.

"Turn Kakarot into a Super Saiyan too?" Raditz and Salari exchanged a look, stunned into disbelief.

If it could really happen, that would be a good thing.

As family, and especially as his siblings, Raditz and Salari also hoped Kakarot could become stronger.

Even Bulma and Launch felt the same.

They recalled the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament three years ago, when Goku ultimately lost to an old man named Jackie Chun, which was such a pity.

With Talot and the others coaching this time, winning the World Martial Arts Tournament four months from now would surely be no problem.

As for Son Gohan, as his grandfather, how could he not want his grandson to achieve greater things?

Only, inwardly he began to worry about his master, Master Roshi.

This time, it looked like his master playing Jackie Chun might end up losing to his grandson.

The plan to find Kakarot and train him was settled.

That night Talot, Salari, and Bulma stayed on Mount Paozu.

Because Bulma was together with Talot, she took care of things here even more than Goku and Chi-Chi did in the original work.

Most importantly, quite a few houses had been built here, making it more convenient for them to live on Mount Paozu.

It's worth mentioning that it wasn't only Talot and Raditz who were being urged by Gine.

Salari and Bulma, and even Launch, were all given a stern talking-to by Gine.

She kept saying that by her age she already had Raditz…

This made the three women stare at Talot and Raditz like a tiger eyeing its prey.

Talot and Raditz were at a loss whether to laugh or cry. They clearly knew Gine wanted grandchildren, but they couldn't refuse.

In short, that night was very long…

The next day Talot and Raditz, and the three women, all woke up very late.

Son Gohan said nothing, pretending he didn't know anything.

Gine's smile hid further smiles; she was clearly very satisfied with her little push.

Not until nearly noon did everyone fully wake up. With Gine's preparations they had a hearty lunch, and then Raditz went off to find Kakarot.
