I sit in my office, unable to believe what I'm hearing.
"Athena, you can't be serious."
Athena leans forward, tapping the thirty-minute pilot script she's written. "Did you like the pilot? I can take criticism."
I wrinkle my nose. "Netflix already has a bunch of mythology cartoons ... There' a kids' book series called Goddess Girls..."
"Yes, and they're worthwhile, but The Wendigo Inn has legs, in one exec's words," Athena says. "Besides, you could contribute scripts or even be an executive producer. You know, be a story consultant for executive producer credit. Happens all the time."
I huff. "The story is fabulous, Athena. It's our story. But this is exposing--"
