After our return, the days settle into a predictable rhythm--as much as anything ever is at the Wendigo, which means not predictable at all. A surprise every day, even every minute.
But somehow we establish a routine. Daji awakens early to feed our baby Della, and then goes back to sleep for a little while. Like clockwork, Della sounds the alarm with her powerful wail when she needs to be changed, and I get my butt out of bed for diaper duty, not to mention my morning dose of Della. I bounce her around and brew coffee for her sleepy mum and me, and explain to Della that no, just because she is a godling, it doesn't mean she can have coffee yet.
