Walking along cracked streets away from the remains of night city cam slowly trecked. His clothes long forgotten ash. Finding his family's remains hadn't been hard. His father had been a very large man, his mothers corpse fused together with his fathers. His little brother was directly in front of him when he had died.
Carying the decaying bodies he marched onwards, towards the cabin his father was taking them to. The cracked and slightly melted asphalt cut into his feet, but he didn't move. His muscles shrunk in more and more as he walked. His knuckles bleeding raw from hitting the remaining scrap of a semi truck. Looking into his reflection on the dented section he saw himself.
Covered in head to toe with soot and ash, but not a burn mark on him. Remembering back to the times he had with his family he moved forward, one step after another until eventually arid dry earth transformed into wooded area. The blast radius had gone far. But 30 miles outside city limits it had looked like nothing had happened, just a silent world. Stopping to cry or punch the earth for his family back every time a good memory of his family came to life in his mind. Times where he won trophies and his father had been proud of him. The times when his mother would Beat him senseless even though he had nearly 200 pounds on her. His little brother competing in his 8th grade wrestling championship and winning.
Each step had a memory behind it through his entire life as he carried their burnt husks. The bodies weighed nothing compared to their weight on his mind.
After 14 hours of walking on the rough asphalt he stopped. Looking at the road that would lead to the cabin he continued marching. Going from smooth backroads to gravel, cam never flinched. Moving forward all the same. Arriving at the cabin he brought his family around to the back. Setting them down gently he started digging. Halfway through the hole cam passed out from exhaustion. However he awoke a few hours later cold and dehydrated. Remembering where he was and wishing it were a dream he continued digging. His hands working like shovels. Eventually he had dug a 6 foot deep, 5 foot wide, and 8 feet long hole, just enough for his family to rest together. Peacefully. Finding their bodies laying near him he cried, but no tears came. Gently bringing their bodies into the hole he set them down together. Although they never believed much in a god, he prayed to anyone that they would sleep peacefully. After burying the remains of his family he marched to the cabin and slept some more.
Waking to the driest throat and the smell of rotting flesh he stood from the chair he'd fallen asleep in and drank some water. Thankfully the cabin had well water. Turning to the bedroom he showered and ate. Cried some more in the shower now that he had water to shed tears. Scrubbing himself raw and clean cleansing himself from the ash and blood that coated his skin while picking the sharp rocks stuck in his heel. Getting out of the shower be wiped away the fog from the mirror. His hair had completely disappeared. Though there was slight stubble. He noticed that his body had shrunken down from what he'd remembered. Going from a great amount of muscle like a body builder to a leaner body with less muscle. Questioning his physique and strength he looked into his system for answers.

Going through his stats he was surprised at the amount constitution he held. 'Kind of seems incredibly overpowered' now that the status effects had fully kicked in he noticed that moving his body was harder than it had once been. The thuds of his footsteps slammed harder than before. Thankfull that this changed had happend after his journey. He walked into the living room.
This cabin was familiar to him. Going here to hunt with his fathers friend and their kids. Hoping that they weren't in the city when the explosion happend, he heard his stomach rumble. Walking to the pantry to see if any food still sat around. Tons of cans and other long shelf food. Probably enough for a week or two. Checking the fridge, it was empty, however the freezer held multiple 4 pound sausage containers and large slabs of venison. Thanking his uncle he grabbed green beans, corn, and a slab of venison and started cooking. After filling up and the sun was halfway through the day he sat and considered his next actions.
'Revenge' was the first thing that came to mind. His family and everyone in the city he grew up in was gone. But he didn't know who did it. For now he thought 'I need to be stronger. I need to become the strongest person alive.'
Thankfully his fathers friend was also an incredible athlete who also built a personal gym in the cabin for training sessions away from the neon lights of night city. Starting intense full body work outs he noticed that as he lifted more weights he felt lighter. After a bit he felt tears fall down his face and he realized that he had finally let the tension in his face relax. Remembering all the trainings with his family he lifted for them.
Finishing after every muscle in his body was shaking he ate some more, knowing that in a week he would have to find another food source. Before retiring to sleep he planned on finally figuring out the rest of his stats.

Looking at the options presented to him he mentally commanded his innate skill upgrade.
Innate skill upgrade. Requirements met. Options- absorbing millions of points of physical damage in one second unlocks the option of being able to focus the skill on certain body parts instead of the intire body while reflecting back a % of damage absorbed. Damage scaling with constitution. Allowes attacks with this skill.
Option 2- take over a million fire damage in 1 second. While skill is active burn the surrounding area scaling with spirit.
Option 3- great amount of radiation damage absorbed. While skill is active increase your bodies regeneration scaling with your regeneration
Looking through each skill he wished he could have them all. Obviously the first option was the best for him. Constitution was his strongest stat and held maneuverability with attacking. Option 2 wouldn't amount to much due to his abysmal spirit starting. And option 3 would be amazing for training, however it's utility ends there.
Mentally accepting option 1 he smiled. Now what's this about a legendary meditation technique. Using his will to activate the scroll obtained from the first person he'd ever killed. It immediately attached to his mind and brought him deep within.
