The spiral staircase ended in a massive arched doorway pulsing with sickly green veins. The moment Trevor and the dwarf stepped through, the air changed. It became thick, humid, and alive — carrying the heavy stench of rot, bile, and insatiable craving.
The chamber was enormous, easily the size of a cathedral. But instead of stone, the walls, floor, and ceiling were covered in pulsating, fleshy growths. Veins throbbed beneath translucent membranes. Mouth-like orifices opened and closed randomly, drooling acidic saliva. The entire room felt like the inside of a living stomach.
In the center floated the guardian — the Hunger Abomination.
