Her collar gave her a daunting air, her cardigan swept in the wind with a tranquil manner, like a cape. Her modernistic look was like a loose interpretation of a hero. Long elegant legs take powerful but silent strides across the ground, with the next step she disappeared. Yggdrasil swung her great sword towards her right, it looked heavy and was good at bearing mass on the enemy, but in her hands it was as light as a feather.
Red and black light flickered, turning her gaze she found Vinia a metre away from her, katana pressing on her blade. It's as if her own swing wished Vinia into existence, her instincts screamed so at her, losing their edge with irrationality. 'Kughh!!', she groaned softly in her mind, eyes fixed on the enemy and her weapon. She couldn't take the contest any longer, she needed to disengage. Vinia wasn't idle, she shifted her footwork swiftly, preventing Yggdrasil from deflecting and escaping.
Her teeth grit tightly in contemplation, a few moments later and her great sword will split in half. Would it be better to take damage now? No, it couldn't be so simply. A life threatening wound to a human isn't life threatening to a magical girl. Taking that a step further, high level magical beings would have their own methods to leave lasting and significant wounds on their enemies. Even her martial skill wasn't as good as Vinia's.
All the same. Has the situation ever changed? No matter how stupidly absurd Yggdrasil gets, no matter how much she surpasses the natural limits of this world... She'll still be pit against those stronger than her. Like a never ending story of battle, a chronicle that will know no peace. Her great sword began to shake and struggle, there's no other way out. She dematerialises her great sword, the katana shifts in splits her torso in half. Drawing a diagonal from her clavicle to her belly button, blood does not escape its prison. Her body remains wounded as she thrusted the great sword into Vinia's eye and skull.
The katana slides out having cut a clean slice, like a hot knife through butter. The new great sword lodges into Vinia's head and was thrown forward with the rest of Vinia's body.
"Guhagh!!?! Haagh! Hurrah! Urghh!!" (Yggdrasil)
Vigorously, she spat out the blood clogging her lungs, throat and oesophagus. Her wound wouldn't close, so where did all the blood from the ruptured organs go? Regurgitated. An unsightly pile spreads from below her heels, some of it staining her silky black stockings. She was covered from neck to toe, a one piece dress and black stockings. At this moment, it felt a little heavy on her back, sticky with sweat and fatigue. Oh how she wanted to drink the sweet poison of relief.
She was finally out of that accursed contest. She predicted right. Her wound would not close, the viciousness of {Anxiety} plagues her wounds. The power of vibration lingers, tear and tear, the flesh is dissected without end. At the same time, it wouldn't even let the blood escape through the wound, the vibrations acted like a plug. Damage that couldn't be healed over, perhaps she was the perfect tool to kill magical girls with. Was that her first mistake?
If she hadn't underestimated that first ogre Trace, allowed her to evolve to this point, she wouldn't be in this situation. Vinia was perfectly designed to kill magical girls. She didn't even possess anti magic to prevent skill usage, she simply possessed superiority in every aspect of combat. Strategy, martial proficiency, arcane proficiency...
Yggdrasil looked at her enemy once more. Getting out of that scuffle had costed her. She managed to get the most out of it by piercing her enemy's head with her sword, but Vinia walked it off. A decapitation wouldn't even slow down Vinia. Through and through, she was a monster that looked ostensibly stronger each time she was brought down.
"Your first mistake was fighting the hero. The world has deemed you a factor that will bring its destruction, so it empowers the hero." (Aster Keliuvinia)
She points at Yggdrasil with her katana, a smile crested on her face like a blooming flower. Yggdrasil couldn't even muster up any hatred for such a beautiful face, though she was never one to fight on passion. What pushes her forward and forward? Like an invisible force urging her towards the edge of a cliff and into the abyss. She never grapple with any such questions, always living true to herself. A habit she inevitably picked up from living with her creator.
Lastia had only a single day to live each time, it only made Yggdrasil that much more sincere towards life. She smirks back at her opponent, emotions surged through her mind like a high. Her lips twisted and creased into that very grin, a hint of white teeth peeked through. She doesn't know if these theatrics were for the enemy or herself. Her body certainly felt that this was to be the foreboding end.
"And I will crush the hero! I sacrificed Eterna, beat over the head not 1 but 3 Heavenly Kings.
Heavenly King, Hero, God, whatever. I've never had a reason to back down." (Yggdrasil)
Forfeit all hope, ye who enter. She's already plunge into hell, not of her own making. Her making was in hell. She summons her great sword, floating gently to fit its handle into her slender prideful fingers. The back of her palm shone a glossy black over her gloves, for this moment under the dark skies, a singular red sun burned brightest. Vinia follows in tandem, powering her katana to the fullest. With an unspoken go ahead, they rushed at each other after some time.
Yggdrasil swung horizontally into a spin, Vinia hopped over and landed on the other side with a somersault. They turned around, smashing their blades against one another. A flurry of metal screeches cry out as blades pulled and collided repeatedly. Each one collision caused a loud thunderclap and a explosion that encompassed the city, the ground had all but charred into soot black. The air was searing hot, nothing but ember and pressure consumed their dainty figures.
The great sword slices over head, Vinia back steps and leaps forward once more. Her katana drew power with momentum, the great sword is pulled back into a parry as Vinia rushes inside Yggdrasil's range. One heel digs into the ground, and the great sword smashes into Vinia from the side. One arm pulls the great sword onto Yggdrasil's torso, the other smashes into the flat, acting as a physical barrier between them.
Vinia is knocked into the ground, but she doesn't travel far before picking herself up into a stance.
