Chapter 42 - Seriously, you sure you're not an alien

Alana let out a huff of air, feeling her legs about to give out as she, along with the other students were made to race through the school's track field.

"P.E, who's dumb idea was it to make it mandatory", Alana asked while grasping for air as she kept running alongside the other students.

"I don't think it's that bad", Excel spoke by Alana's side, moving at a pace similar to hers, seeming unfazed by the run unlike Alana who looked gassed out and at the verge of collapsing but then again he could literally racing a hundred laps around the fields in less than the time it took to before breaking a sweat if he wanted.

"Yeah, well you're not human", said Alana making Excel smile playful.

"If I don't count as human, so do I. Seriously, it's only been 5 minutes are you that out of shape", retorted Excel.

"Shut up…weirdo", Alana spoke gasping for air.

After managing to making round ten laps around the field, the P.E teacher finally blew the whistle, signaling to the students that could finally stop. Then all the students immediately collapsed to the ground out of exhaustion, well, everyone except Excel.

"On believable, you frail bone sissies couldn't handle a simple run. Unbelievable, out of every single student can manage to run ten muzzily laps with dropping dead. You pathetic lot ought to be ashamed of your selves", said the P.E causing all the students to glare at Excel with their downcast gazes filled with nothing but annoyance, frustrating, and slight anger.

"Serious, you sure you're human", Alana spoke who weak while taking in short bursts of air.

"Maybe, who knows", Excel spoke with a sheepish smile on his face before extending a hand too her.

Alana just smiled and nodded her head at him.

"Weirdo", she muttered loud enough for him to here just as accepted his hand.

Later at lunch in the cafeteria, Alana sat on her table having moderately portion meal while Excel seated across from her stuff his mouth endless with what could only be described as a mountain calories and enough sugar to give a hundred mean heart attacks.

"How on earth are you as lean as a twig after devouring two diabetes course meals and with enough calories to make the average person fall in to cardiogenic shock 12 times over", said Alana.

Excel then let out a burp before saying jokingly, "Well, I'm an alien with an extremely high metabolism".

"Yeah, that sounds about right", Alana spoke with nonchalant gaze as she ate a bit of her food.

"Hey, what was up with you doing class today", Excel spoke after scoffing down a mouth full of scream doughnuts.

"Nothing, it just really ticks me off how more often than not, history love painting with narrow stroke, too scared to say what really happened and give a censored description of events", said Alana while wearing face that seemed void of emotions but carried an air of frustration and slight rage, something Excel was able to pick up on and it made him worry a little.

"You said something about a hero nearly dooming the entire planet, what was that about?" asked Excel, his laced with curiosity.

Alana upon hearing what she said, paused as though she was shocked by the question and then just stared at Excel, seemingly examining him with her eyes, an act that made the blue eyed boy feel slightly uncomfortable.

"What's with the staring, is there something on my teeth or something", Excel asked, wondering why Alana was staring at him so intensely all of a sudden.

"No, just trying to figure out if you've been living your whole life under a rock or are genuinely that dense", said Alana.

"Ouch, that sting", said Excel, feeling the brunt of her words that felt like a jab straight in to his soul.

Alana just let put a breath before saying, "Captain Solaro, google it. But be warned, you may not like what you see, especially if you're a fan of heroes".

Excel upon hearing what Alana was immensely taken aback by her word, wondering just who on this Captain Solaro was.

Then, as if on cue, the bell the rung, signaling the end of lunch causing all the students to finish up their meals leave the cafeteria for their next class.

"Hey wait up", Excel, quickly finishing up his meal, and joining Alana as she got up and left.

"Who exactly is Captain Solaro", asked Excel as he caught up to her.

"You've got a working phone and internet access, figure it out yourself", Alana replied with a ting of annoyance and frustration in her as she and Excel made their way to their next class.
