Beneath the Wall of Withered Tree Fortress, Aldany shouted loudly to the trained Serpents behind him.
To make sure the mission would succeed, he had already drilled these hand-picked elite warriors through multiple rehearsals before the battle began. During training, every one of the Serpent tribe's elites had learned exactly how to bring down the fortress's foundation.
At Aldany's urging, the warriors moved quickly. Very soon, they managed to rip open a gap in the base of the Wall.
When he saw this, a smile finally crept across Aldany's face.
As long as a gap was opened in the foundation, the hardest step was done.
The next stage was to dig deeper along that gap. Once the foundation was weakened enough, the Wall of Withered Tree Fortress would collapse.
