Harbor slowly turned his head to look at Charles behind him. There wasn't the slightest trace of surprise on his face.
"Interesting," he said calmly.
In the next moment, the desert around Harbor sank rapidly, and countless desert scorpions burst out from the sand. They swarmed straight toward Charles.
"You're boring," Charles sneered. "I thought you'd at least say a few words to me, but no—you want to fight right away!"
Without hesitation, Charles summoned the Nine-Tailed Spirit Wolf, Max.
As a mystical beast with both ice and fire attributes, Max had a huge advantage against these desert scorpions. The instant Max appeared, waves of scorpions were frozen solid by his icy breath.
Charles used the opening to draw out the Chasing the Moon Bow.
Although this weapon wasn't as powerful as the Black Gold Long Knife, its greatest strength was flexibility. Charles pulled the bowstring all the way back and loosed arrow after arrow of light at Harbor.
