When Zed got back to the dark room, he started to think about what he wanted to do today. He could've gone hooping since the vacay was right around the corner, but he also felt a bit tired today since he already decided not to rest. for most of the last week. When his mind couldn't come up with anything, he started to get up and leave only to be stopped by a sudden sound. He turned to the floor and there it was, the book that he got a few days ago. It started to talk again.
"You good? You look bored out of your mind!" the book said.
"I am bored. I thought maybe I should go home, but Cyrus told me I had to be here today, and I think he will be here at roughly one hour from now. When he gets here. I need to fake read. But right now, I'm seriously bored. "
"If you are so bored, then why not create some fun?" the book asked.
"I'm some ordinary boy going to school, napping, going home, playing video games. How can I create some fun from that?"
"Have you tried creating a novel? I'm sure you could find some fun if you tried." the book replied.
"Does this room look like it has a notebook or a pencil. I'm too tired to move right now." Zed groaned.
"You could always use a device, you chud. Look there is one right there!" the book shouted.
Zed walked to the device and started having second thoughts about this idea. How was he going to start writing? He looked to the book for any hints.
"The first thing you might want is to do is create a book cover. Got some idea for that? the book asked.
'You're telling me I should do what I've never done before." Zed said. Then he continued "I don't even know the last time I created a good artwork. Do you know some good websites to create digital art?"
"Look for it yourself chud! I'm only a book." the book asked.
"So shouldn't you know more than me. I heard that books held great knowledge." Zed argued.
After some time passed, Zed stumbled upon the best website he could've asked for. SumoPaint. Cool. Now that I have a website to paint with, how should I start with creating a cover?
"Start with color. straight color. only color. That is what art is. If your art isn't colorful, then it's boring." the book advised.
"I disagree with your idea. I believe that art is whatever lines or shapes you put down. It doesn't have to be color." Zed argued.
"Then let's go with your idea. C'mon paint paint paint." The book rushed Zed.
"First we create the base with a few lines like this, a few lines this way, then that way." Zed said.
While creating the artwork, Zed had to undo multiple attempts to complete his work.
"I'm done!" Zed yelled.
The book processes his work for a few seconds, then asks if he is happy with this product. Zed thought about it for a few more seconds, soon noticing what he created.
"Wait. We can't work with this." he said.
The book asked why not. That's when Zed talks about how the painting reminds him of the Ancient called Devil.
"You seriously still have a grudge against the Ancient called Devil. That was years ago! Besides that's only the book cover. It's not like it has to be one of the characters" the book replied.
"I guess you have a point there." Zed said.
Now that Zed had completed that painting, his next goal was to look a website to create his novel.
"You don't need one for now. Use a text file. What do you want to write about?" the book hinted.
Zed thought about it before, but now he was sure it's what he wanted to write about.
"Cool spirits." Zed said.
"What makes them cool?" the book asked.
"They will have special abilities." Zed said.
"I've thought about a special ability that the MC should have called all absorption. I want it to be a strong ability where it's possible to absorb weapons, so when someone attacks the MC with a weapon, then the weapon will be absorbed to the MC's body, then it can appear someplace else."
"Can that be countered?" the book asked.
"Not unless you are a Ancient." Zed replied.
"Will your novel have Ancients?" the book asked.
"I did encounter one, so I don't have a problem with it. But they would have to be evil. That way the MC will defeat them and save the world. Isn't that how you write the end of a novel." Zed said.
"Not all Ancients have to be evil by the end of the story. What if the ancient ends up as the good guy at the end, then saves the world?" the book asked.
"You know the MC wouldn't let that happen. If that were to happen, I think I might get angry. I've already decided that if I see the Ancient Called Devil again, I'll probably attack them." Zed told the book that soon replied back with "You choose now of all time to start capping. We both know you won't do that.
After arguing with the book some more, Zed decided to take a break. He started to plot what his novel was going to be about. Ancients, cool spirits, etc, but his next goal was to write about them.
