As for the lives of the Root members who will die? Its their honour to die for the cause of Konoha, besides he could always re-establish an even better one!!
In normal situations, any Ninja seeing such a spectacle will be instilled with fear, not to talk of the destructive and oppressive might that permeated the surroundings. However this is clearly different for the Root who care not about their lives but the completion of their mission.

With a strange fluctuation the originally oppressively large Susanno swiftly degraded from the second stage to the first stage!

Uchiha Shishui violently coughed out mouthfuls of blood! If a bystander was here, he would be surely shocked! This is because nothing happened to Shishui at all, there was no attack from the enemy!
It was…..It was like he was suffering from the backlash of using such a monstrous Jutsu!
A fervent gleam was released as Danzo squinted his eye into slits.
Sure enough! In a few seconds the Susnoo was dispelled as Shishui stumbled and almost fell, looking at his blood soaked hands in disbelief. Wondering how this could happen! However, before he could come up with a proper conjecture, Danzo who had been standing still the whole time vanished with a Shunshin-no Jutsu augmented with a Wind Release used by a Root Member behind him.
Puick!!
A brief squelching sound was heard before Danzo reappeared behind Shishiu Uchiha. In his hand lay an eyeball which released an ominous Chakra!
Shishuis eye was stolen!
Shishui couldn't believe his eyes!
"Aargh!!" Shishui screamed as he held his now empty eye socket that continuously leaked blood.
"You didn't think I'd let an Uchiha with such a dangerous technique run wild? I'd be taking your eyes as a token to the prosperity of Konoha!" Letting out a small chuckle, Danzo narrowed his eyes with pleasure.
Realizing what Danzo was after all along, Uchiha Shishui was left with pain, frustration and profound loss!
Physical pain and emotional pain as all he has done for Konoha could only lead to suspicion. Frustration due to the repeated confrontation between the Uchiha and the Konoha Council. Profound Loss due to the loss of his eye and the loss of peace in the near future. He already knew that once the Uchiha found out about what happened to him, an internal war is already guaranteed.
'No!! I can still change this!' Uchiha Shishui had not given up. He needed to do certain things before he departed from this world! For he already knew what is happening to him!
It turned out that Danzo had already prepared a toxic poison to deal with Shishui. This poison was made with the help of Orochimaru in hopes of suppressing or outright killing the Uchiha or any Doujutsu user! With the help of the Aburame, a certain Nano insect will be injected with this poison that has the characteristics of devouring Yin Chakra!!
What does this mean?
Yin Chakra generally governs the utility of all Doujutsu and Genjutsu! Therefore the lack of Yin Chakra will hunder the use of Yin Chakra! Forcing the infected to be unable to use Yin Chakra only able to use other Nature Transformation Chakra.
Uchiha Shishui was poisoned with this when he was in the combined mud and slime jutsu made by the Root! It turned out that the Aburame clan member in the Root successfully infiltrated Shishuis body with his nano insects.
Theoritically its impossible for this to work especially considering that Shishui himself was no pushover and nano insects will be hard pressed to get past his defences. However due to the fact that he didn't utilize the Mangyekou earlier and the fact that he was already overwhelmed with the sheer number of Root Ninja, resistance to this was impossible.
Despite the fact that the poison seems to have a massive potential and was very terrifying, in truth it was somewhat useless since the Byakugan could see Chakra and extracting or nullifing such a poison was effortless and this is even considering the fact that they'll be poisoned successfully.
This poison can only be used after an extensive planning, clearly Danzo had already thought things through!!
Therefore, once Shishui channelled his Yin Chakra to activate his Susanno, the poison immediately took effect as it devoured the Yin Chakra to grow, multiply and destroy nearby cells! This is turn made the Susanno dissipate thereby giving Danzo a clean shot at the Kotoamatsukami!
An insidious plan indeed! One can't help but admire Danzo's cunning and precautionary paranoia.
Roar!!
A deep roar resounded as dust kicked off obscuring the surroundings, Danzo who was reveling in his prize quickly retreated away from the disturbance.
Swoosh..... Swoosh... Swoosh
Multiple swooshing sounds resounded as barely visible red beams zoomed through the surroundings.
Puchi!!
Sounds of tearing flesh echoed as the reality of the situation suddenly dawned on the Root members! Shishui could still fight!
Sure enough, as the dust cleared a dishevelled Shishui was spotted! However he now had the Skeletal Susanno secured around him.
Danzo was momentarily surprised, but he quickly returned to calm. He knew that Uchiha Shishui was on his last rope, that's why he could unleash a desperate attack before he naturally consumed himself. And it's not surprising that he'll be able to suppress such a half-baked poison.
Thinking of this, Danzo's confidence skyrocketed, he couldn't help but lick his lips.
Pah! Its like that disgusting Orochimaru has been influencing him in more places than he thought! He must make sure not to follow in the ways of that weird person!
Swoosh!!
A green silhouette flickered before vanishing before the eyes of the many Jonin present. The previous red beams were indeed the work of the magatama in the middle of Shishui's Susanno. That attack had clamed the lives of 8 Jonin and injured 3 more.
This was obviously Shishui's ingenious use of his signature technique.
Swoosh... Swoosh...
2 more silhoettes flickered and dispersed in different directions. It is obvious that Shisui had already executed his escape using 2 shadow clones as a distraction. This was not all, because a sensory ninja could track him however each and every one of these clones had a green chakra enveloping them.This was the Mangyekou chakra, though it couldn't form a Susanno like Madara, it was enough to serve its purpose! Meaning that anyone of these clones could be the real Shishui no matter what the Sensory Ninja does.
Danzo who saw this couldn't keep his calm anymore! Who thought that Shishui not only did not retaliate or fight to the death but chose to run away? Even Danzo didn't expect such an outcome.
"Quick! Disperse and chase after them!" Danzo bellowed as he and the other Root quickly vanished as they tracked Shishui down!
To not only be able to use the Susanno even after an eye was lost and to still be able to escape this many Shinobi is certainly a feat worth praising!
The real Shishui who had escaped, hurridly fled as he used his remaining Chakra to summon a clone who didn't hesitate to continue running away. Meanwhile the original body devoid of Chakra quickly hid under a large tree, effectively concealing himself.
The reason why Shishui was able to still use the Susanno even after the loss of his eye and the poison was due to his ruthless measures against himself! Shishui used the Fireball Technique inside of his body!!
Naturally, it was a super miniturazed form but nonetheless, this move had the potential to kill over 98 percent of anyone who tried it, especially in the Shinobi world where Ninja's have relatively mediocre bodies!
This Fireball Jutsu effectively destroyed some poison and the nano bugs in his body, so he used his chakra to effectively supress the leftover poison. However this still cost him a lot o his vitality and internal damage. He estimated that without medical care he would die in less than 5 hours! He didn't care though, since he had already accepted his fate.
"Ive already alerted Itachi-kun. I'll have to burden him with this issue!" Shishui said dejectedly with an ironic smile.
Swoosh..... Swoosh
Uchiha Shishui visibly tensed up as Danzo's Root persued his shadow clone without locating him.
Breathing a sigh of relief, Shishui who was about to stand up suddenly frowned. His first clone had already been dissipated by Danzo himself! He needed to leave this place if not he would be caught! Therefore Shishui ignited his vitality and used his will power to run away after a simple Transformation Jutsu. It doesn't cost much chakra so he wast worried.
Naka River
This was Uchiha's property in Konoha as it was at the back of the clan grounds. It is not normally used for anything due to its precarious location. As a natural cliff existed right before the River and must be bypassed inorder to reach the River. However this was easier said than done because not everyone could really land safetly without dying. Only Jonin could have full confidence in something like this. Apart from this, the depth of the Naka River was not known!
What did this mean?
This means that Ninja's who could really explore Rivers and Seas, that is Water Style Jonins could not determine the depth of the Naka River because of the high pressure that is unlike any other water body they had encountered. If any person fell in the Naka river…. Then rescue was impossible.
It was due to this that the Uchiha never used this place….however there are always exceptions to everything!
