Guinevere gave him a light slap on the shoulder. "I speak of the ball."
"I am in agreement, but I have had no moment with you, and that, my dear lady, pinches at me."
"No," she giggled, "I do." Then she pinched his waist.
Alexander jerked, laughing suddenly. "You are not being fair."
"We have never been in our relationship." She smirked. Then, "If you worry so much about His Highness, you could have a note sent to find him. He sent one from France, no?" When he nodded, she continued, "then have one sent back."
He nodded slowly, rhythmically. "He was in France. He spoke of moving on to Spain."
Guinevere shrugged. "The clerk at Mainecroft Shipping might know of the prince's whereabouts. I would have Reginald there by daybreak, and a note sent with the next ship to wherever he is." She leaned in, her face a sigh from his. "Would that set your mind at ease?"
