Chapter 72 - King Beyond The Wall

The Flaming Snow kingdom is developing fast. Developing interesting technology, transportation and education concepts never seen before.

The three cities are now Said to almost be one because of the transformed road facilities between them.

When the first car was produced, it traveled from the red lands to Yunkai. The smooth tar road made it so the process was not unpleasant in the slightest.

Soon, busses, taxi and many small private cars were produced from the red lands. Traveling between these four places became incredibly easy.

The gas stations are built along the way. Ships with engines slowly became the norm. A telephone was then invented, the, a fully functional computer.

Video camera that is capable of shooting movies gave way to the establishment of the entertainment industry.

For a time, the Flaming Snow kingdom operated in an entirely different level in terms of everything compared to the rest of the world.

They didn't share the technology until they had perfected it to a certain point. When a child is able to get admission to any of the schools in Flaming Snow kingdom, it would be something to be proud of for the whole village.

Olivia has made a lot of progress in her research in magic, runes and basic elements and all the results have been put inside her soul space.

She has learned regular magic and used it to build herself a mansion inside the small world.

This house has all the furniture, water and supplies that will never get old since this space is able to keep things fresh.

On the outside of the house is a vast land which has mountains, with mineral ore mines Olivia moved from the outside world to the soul space.

A large gold mine, silver mine, iron mine from the true north able to give rise to iron wood trees.

Then there is ice element stone mines, moved from the true north. And fire element stone mines from the red lands.

Olivia uses them to forge magic items as she learns magic forging and rune magic from both of her dragons. With this new school of magic, Olivia finally got around to curing Rogo's contaminated spirit.

With his spirit completely free of any black magic, Olivia started to groom him as the next king of the true North. This time, without holding back. The poor body is so busy he doesn't remember how he gets to his bed every night.

He has to learn the history of Westeros, the north as a whole, the houses of the north and much more.

On the side, Olivia finally put animals and planted food in the soul space, it became a complete living world. By now Olivia has completely revitalized the entire red lands.

She transported all the fire stone mines into her soul space along with the veins. Olivia created large barriers to isolate the scotching breath of the several mines so her lands are not turned into the red lands.

This is to allow the red lands the opportunity to heal and cool the scorching breath so the land can grow crops.

This is the reason her small world has plentiful land now. When she uses her abilities to nourish previously desolate land she receives land space in her soul space. The quality depends on the transformation.

The soul power quality inside the space is very high, mostly because of her hard work. She can feel her power grow with every breath she takes inside her soul space.

There is a large lake which is filled with spirit dew containing mana energies, some of the food grown in her soul space has mutated to mana food.

The meat from those animals grown in the soul space are all full of magic power. Magic is tame compared to raw power of mana. This is the difference between mortals and gods.

This allows her own power to grow. Her love of potion brewing has not diminished.

Now she mostly focus on mana pills from the herbs planted in her soul space. Olivia has been looking to use these new varieties of medications she has been producing for a while now.

Then it hit her. She needs to ensure her kingdom is the pinnacle of this world. Not only in terms of technology, but also in physical condition.

She started with her son.

"Mother, what is it we are doing?" Rogo shivered at the sight of a bath tub full of medicine.

"You know how your spirit was affected when you were born? I am ensuring that your body is robust and your mind remains firm. You were smeared before your body was born, it could affect your bloodline." Olivia let him keep his underwear on, and then tossed him into the medical soup.

"The water is not cold, stop shivering." Olivia told him.

"How long to soak for?" He asked with clear reluctance.

"Until the water becomes colorless." She responded seriously.

"Mom." He bent down scooping a handful of the medicinal solution and looked at Olivia meaningfully.

"It will lose color when your body has absorbed everything." Olivia assured him.

Drogo entered the tub and sat inside enduring the constant itchy feeling from his bones all the way to his skin. At some point he wanted to pull his hair in frustration.

"Do you want me to hold you down?" Olivia saw him struggle so she asked him.

"It's fine. I can handle it." He assured.

"Are you also going to find a husband and marry like her?" Drogo asked Olivia trying to distract himself.

"I don't know. Whatever happens will happen. Why do you ask?"

"I don't think I have a place in her life. Now that she has new children, there is even less time for me." Drogo could always speak honestly with Olivia. She had made sure of it since it was important for his spirit to be clear of burdens.

"It is not like that. If you feel so isolated, I will join you and we will be isolated together." She smiled reassuringly at him.

"I don't want to hold you back. I want you to be happy." He admitted, sad that her happiness may also push her to marry and he will be like a floating boat without an anchor.

"I am happy." She assured again.

"Really?" He asked looking hesitant.

"Really." She said firmly.

The water turned transparent two hours later. This ritual went on for two months then she started giving him a colorless pill with mysterious runes on its body.

He took the pill and fell asleep instantly. When he woke up he felt different, whole and without the usual emotional waves that would suddenly make him depressed.

For the first time he felt... balanced. Thus his treatment was finished. He did not get to enjoy it. Because this is when Olivia told him to run the first of her kingdom's. The true north.

"Why do I feel like you are washing yourself clean of all the work? My sisters have completely taken over the Redlands and the three cities." Rogo looked at his mother and couldn't help but accuse her of being lazy.

"Otherwise? I did a fantastic job establishing, building and nourishing the lands of the kingdom. Why should I run it too? Do I look like someone who has time?" Olivia looked at him in contempt.

Rogo is only 13 but this heartless woman dumped all the responsibility on him. He sighed and showed her a scroll. Seeing the seal on it, she blinked at him in question. "I have been receiving invitations from the Starks. Do you want me to be nice to them?"

As Rogo becomes a dragon rider, the king beyond the wall and is still the first born son of one Deanerys Stormborn, many houses are desperate to firm an alience with him.

"Do as you wish with them. They are an independent kingdom, they don't need my charity." She rolled her eyes and said.

This reminded her of the land spirit tasks. After seeing off her son, she sat cross legged in the middle of the true North and meditated until the land spirit contacted her.

She will have to have someone else go through the test of winter kingship. She is already a minor deity which disqualifies her.

Olivia had already crafted three sets. A small brick that can transform into any weapon and a crown that can turn into ring.

Olivia spent a long time communicating with the spirit of the land for all five places. These places will have these sacred relics that will choose who gets to wear and use them.

She had made a sword for Robb since he uses a sword but her children may not use swords.

Because of what the children of the forest warned her about, Olivia is making sure her kids will have a way to protect themselves.

Deanerys called Olivia some time after Rogo's coronation. Kingslanding is still as lively as ever. Standing on the red keep balcony, Olivia watched Bran and Deanerys interac as a loving couple.

"Sigh." Olivia let out a sigh...

"What is there to sigh about sister?" Bran, having regained his cheeky side, arched an eyebrow.

"I am wondering if you will build a city in the crown lands. The new crown landers feel a bit ...."

"Cramped?" Deanerys asked.

"I don't know, there's no elbow room when walking on the streets. Perhaps you have been too prosperous." Olivia laughed.

"That is actually why I wanted to see you my little niece. Help me build an entirely new city." Deanerys ate grapes leisurely.

"No thank you. My life consist of brewing medicine, forging weapons and playing with the children. There is no way I am building a city for southerners." She scrunched her face in disgust.

"You owe me ten gold coins." Bran said to Deanerys, who reluctantly gave him an iron bank note.

Olivia ignored them and kept looking out the door. Soon two siblings came running, in being chased by a much older Rogo. At 14 years old he stood taller than most thanks to his powerful genes and his mother's medicine.

His previously black eyes are now completely purple. He even got connected with his dragon telepathically. It is not at a conversation level but they understand each other. He can call on his dragon with a single thought.

He secretly took his siblings one by one riding on his dragon. The family is very harmonious. They celebrate birthdays and other occasions like that.

Deanerys has been looking for dragon eggs to gift to her two children but only found one. Not knowing which child to give the dragon to, she ultimately waited until she found more.

In any case Olivia advised her to learn the art of rulling as a normal person. She advised her to stabilize her rule with her ability even after hatching more dragons. What she doesn't know is that Aeryn and Morpheus have revitalized many previously stone dragons already.

They said to give it to their 'family' members who will help rule the kingdom's with them. When they took over the kingdom's rule, each promised to not leave their post before finding a worthy heir.

Gifting some of the eggs to Deanerys shouldn't be a problem. However, this dragon queen needs to show the Westeros people that she is a great ruler.

"I am going back." Rogo gave Deanerys and Olivia a kiss on the cheek then made a quick exit after saying good bye to Bran.

Once he left, Deanerys asked Olivia a question. "Have you suggested him any prospective marriage partner?"

"No, why would I do that?" Olivia asked incredulous.

"Because even though he is running the place, it is your hard work. Don't you get a say in that?"

"He doesn't need to make alliances. If he needs an army, he can raise an army. If he needs wealth, he can also raise wealth. My son will marry whomever he wants to marry. In fact, he can have as many wives as he wants." Olivia said arrogantly.

Deanerys only chuckled. "You spoil him too much."

"I spoil all my children. Mother's love their children, fathers make them strong. But I need to be both, so I will probably make mistakes." She turned to Bran. Communicating with him silently. He needs to be a good father to his children as well.

The peaceful scene is broken by lord hand reporting another dispute between the dothraki people and the locals. Deanerys had to go and hold another council meeting.

Upon return, Olivia learned her people clashed with the nights watch again. The reason is simple, they feel to have been denied of an opportunity to better their livelihood when both gifts were taken away by Olivia.

She had imbued that vast land with purification magic long before the night king was slain. Fruits of that labor is seen in the ever increasing yield from that land.

At some point the nights watch couldn't ignore the tons of food passing by them towards the white castle and started a fight on the spot.

These conflicts have been going on for a long time now and Olivia has half the mind to demolish every last one of those castles and chase away the crows from the true north.

However, the words from the children of the forest rang in her head about strange beasts. It would be more believable if their own people told tales of these beasts when the time comes.

She called her own meeting. "I see you are all well. I will proceed with the reason for the meeting. Does any of you want to be land owning nobles?" She also looked at Faith and Anna.

Sean coughed. "Your grace, do I still get to build ships as before?"

"Yes. But not with my resources. Any of you can go and build yourselves a city and be baron or viscount depending on how much people your city can feed and offer opportunities." She explained.

The true north is vast, as of now, her son, Rogo, is running things. He let her expand the city as long as she uses her own resources. Those belonging to the royal family in the white castle are all in his hands.

Olivia has the bank, the resources and only needs human resources. Her previous castle masters all wanted out of the contract that bound them as workers under her rule.

After she out maneuvered them with regards to running the kingdom when Iron born army attacked and the resulting plundering and attack in the iron islands, they have been looking for a way to have as mu h power as the dukes of the kingdom.

Olivia let them. As the severing of the blood contract between then took effect, all the knowledge they obtained from her vanished one by one.

They would be seated and trying to recall how to make a certain item, only to unrealized they can not recall anything at all.

This operation, also gives Rogo the power to appoint his own people as he wishes. Now queen regent, Olivia doesn't want to be burdened by the power of those blood contract.

When passing power over to Rogo, she doesn't mean to use his as a puppet and be a behind the scenes leader. No, she means to be hands off, in all aspect. As long as her son needs her help, she will dust her apron and charge. Otherwise, he is king. In every sense of the word.

As time went on, Rogo understood the situation and in his heart, he understands his mother's intentions. Many people had speculated that she was just using him for his Tagaryan lineage. To percify Deanerys and let her be at ease.

However, littke by little, tje white castle became his domain completely. To the point that Rogo had to call on her to find out where she is staying.

"The castle is so big. Is it really so important to cut the cord so cleanly?" Rogo, wearing an ice crown with intricate northern runes and the heart tree designs, asked Olivia she laid lazily in the grounds of one of the orphanage.

"When are you getting married?" She ate a delicious cherry and spit out the seeds.

"Do you have anyone in mind?"

"Are they marrying me? Why would I have someone in mind?" She rolled her eyes. Rogo chuckled. As king, it is not out of question for him to assume.

"There is a young woman. But mother, you did not stipulate what task does a queen have in this kingdom. We can not have a queen be an ornament like in the south. It has to mean something to wear the crown."

"In my opinion, that post should be consort. Not queen."

"What about the next ruler? Must it be males only?"

"How can that be? But I am not the king. If it were my throne. It would pass to the one with the most potential. But the kingdom is vast. We can establish feefdom for royal children. Each place will be under their control but they still need to pay taxes to the royal treasury and send tributes."

"So, build more castles?" Rogo smiled. His mother loves building the most.

"Castles for the royal children in each designated area should be exquisitely made. Eternally clean and forever beautiful." So many magic runes are flashing in her mind as she speaks.

"How about helping with the magic runes and such, but let people build the castles to earn coins?" He knows that look. She definitely wants to wave her hand and raise walls everywhere.

"Alright. How many children are you going to have?" She took out a booklet, a mischievous smile on her face.

"Mom!"

"Hehe.."
