"What was that?"
Alex wondered as he stepped out of the classroom in a single-file line alongside other students in the gymnasium.
After walking out for a bit, he took a short detour, waiting near the side of the main entrance as students began leaving the school.
The crowd grew thinner and thinner... Until Alex caught a glimpse of the person he was looking for alongside a whole group of people.
"Hey Sophia!"
"Alex!"
As the two of them met on the side, Mary and the usual four were already all together with her.
"How was your exam?" Sophia asked first as she gave Alex a warm hug out of nowhere before separating.
"It was fine."
"Only fine? Oh boy, my exam is going down the gutter."
Camille's comment didn't affect either of their mood as Alex turned over to Mary, who quickly ran up for a hug as well.
"Alex, the math portion of the exam was too hard!"
"I know. I felt the same way when I got to the last question... I don't think they intended anyone to answer it."
