Hello. Long time no see. For those who are waiting for a new upload (It'll most likely come near the end of December.)
I have just one question for you. I had been thinking, I felt like this book missed one key aspect.
Alex's relationship.
Specifically with his classmate. It feels almost disjointed. Or like they barely know each other. I mean given his positioning, it's kinda expected.
But it just makes me wonder, what if Alex was thought of as a girl? I know, it might sound a little weird for Alex, who wanted to be a boy, to act as a girl, but hear me out.
All it will take is for me to edit the book so that when Alex begins his journey towards the capital, Katherine tells Alex to tell others that he's a girl.
What is the reasoning why she would do that? Well, because the curse had made 99% of the bloodline female. It would be odd for him to stand out. (No spoilers, I can't give the reason why his grandfather exists)
Also, originally, there was supposed to be a tale within Regina city that a man in Reid's family was supposed to overthrow the empire of Exia.
You could even see me writing in lines with Alex, blending into Evelyn's friend group. But because he's viewed as a boy, I have to scrap the entire idea.
This kind of left me in a pickle. I can't progress the story in the direction I wanted. In other words, Alex's childhood has barely any 'childhood' dramas section.
Of course, there will be a lot of changes to the story to accommodate Alex, who is publicly known as 'female,' but it will make things more exciting!
Think of all the secrets Alex has to hide—the reveal and plea to hide secrets from his friends.
It's like enticing someone (you, the reader), wanting Alex's gender revealed to everyone, but it just never seems to pop... Until some accidents/story plot progression that reveals it partially to certain people.
Of course, he still has to go through all the different struggles. The plot mostly stays the same, just Alex's public perception is different.
This doesn't change Sophia's or Mary's perception, as well as Katherine's and Amelia's perception, considering it would be impossible for him to hide it.
That's all I wanted to say. Thank you for reading it. I'll come back roughly around November (2025) to change the book to my liking.
This book is a hobby for me anyway. I'm gonna do whatever I want with it >:)
(Sorry to those who like this version of Alex. But I just have nothing left to write with the current edition of Alex.
You could say I ran out of gas. My brain just can't continue any further without wanting to change his character model.)
