The dining room, never used before, was cleaned three times inside and out by the butler and maids. The dining table and chairs were newly moved from the storeroom, replacing the original small table with a large one.
There were never any guests; aside from Bai Nian, no one else had ever appeared at the dining table.
Only today...
"The master's seat is at the head of the table, the tableware is placed there, make sure not to mess it up," the butler instructed. "Have you called to check if the master, the Eldest Young Master, and the Young Madam have any dietary restrictions? The dishes served must be flawless."
It's the first time Island No. 3 is this lively, with so many guests, and such an important gathering; nothing can go wrong.
"Everything is ready," the maid beside said with a smile on her face. "The Young Madam already came from the back; shall we serve the tea?"
