Loh Cheng's movements quickened. After drawing the liquid into the syringe, he turned around and flicked the soft tube with his index finger a few times. He pressed his lips together and, after a few seconds, raised his hand to insert the needle into the tube, pushing all the liquid in.
His gaze remained fixed on the tube, and only after confirming that the liquid was fully integrated did he breathe a sigh of relief.
Loh Cheng gripped the syringe tightly, just about to hide it back in his belt, when he turned around and found that the needle originally inserted into Luo Xiao's hand was now dangling at the bedside!
He was startled and quickly looked up, only to see that Luo Xiao was already sitting up, a hand pressed against his hand evidently having pulled the needle out before Loh Cheng could inject the liquid.
"You..." Loh Cheng's eyes widened.
