She was like a bride not allowed to see her groom before the wedding, yearning to see him so much that her heart ached. She had never been the type to be overly sentimental or adept at pleasing others, always doing things her own way. Yet, Wesley had changed her, made her... softer.
She wanted to see him.
As soon as she said this, her cheeks felt like they would burn up.
Wesley took a deep breath, "We'll see each other tomorrow, get a good night's sleep."
"Then go ahead with your work." She hung up the phone, a little disappointed but understanding. The weight on Wesley's shoulders was heavy; it wasn't possible for him to drop everything like normal people in love do.
Of course, she wasn't that sentimental either.
