Zhao Xiaohong sighed in agreement, "Right? The mistress is so kind, and it's really a shame she has to deal with this. She's now in the room all day, eating vegetarian food and praying for the Eldest Young Master's blessing."
Just as they were speaking, the canteen door creaked open. Both turned around immediately and saw Granny Li twist her way into the room.
Zhao Xiaohong got up right away and whispered, "I'll go first. Once you've dealt with Granny Li, I'll come find you to play!"
Xiaoxiao nodded in agreement, knowing full well that passing Granny Li's test was necessary before she could interact with other servants in the manor.
With a bite of the white steamed bun, Xiaoxiao watched as Granny Li approached her, and heard her say, "Eating so slowly, how can you work?"
"..." What does eating slowly have to do with working?
However, upon further thought, Xiaoxiao realized Granny Li was judging her swiftness based on her eating speed.
