Soon it arrived at the day of Yang Xia and Li Fugui's engagement.
Early in the morning, there were quite a few people in the Yang Family courtyard, all here to offer their congratulations.
Every member of the Yang Family was neatly dressed and beaming with smiles.
Before long, the children at the gate began shouting, "He's here, he's here..."
Everyone knew this meant Li Fugui had arrived.
Many people rushed to the gate to watch.
Li Fugui put on quite a show, not inferior to a wedding.
He rode a high horse, followed by a row of people carrying betrothal gifts, with a matchmaker in red attire walking beside him.
The matchmaker flung her bright red handkerchief and started speaking auspicious words, "Congratulations, Master Yang, felicitations, Master Yang, the betrothal gifts from the Li Family have arrived, let's hurry into the courtyard and check them."
Li Fugui dismounted, and the group carrying the gifts headed towards the courtyard.
