In the four directions of the plain, there are mountain ranges, lakes, rivers, and swamps. In the distant sky, there are numerous remnants of fortresses from the Ancient Immortal Era, some as massive as mountains, floating up and down in waves between the sky and the ground. In the boundless sea of clouds, one can occasionally see large, inverted metal bases. Looking up from below, they resemble the pupils of a giant metal god, continuously contracting.
Some are only as large as human towns, not even comparable to some Void Battleships. These are the targets of many adventurous cultivators—if someone could gain control of a small Sky Fortress, whether to sell it to a corporation or use it as a base for their team for analysis and research, the benefits and Good Deeds they could gain would be vast.
