Casare chuckled, not only did he not let go, but he held her tighter, his gaze falling on a newly appeared diamond necklace around her neck, sparkling under the kitchen light.
"A new necklace? Very beautiful, it suits you," he casually praised.
Hayler touched the main diamond, her tone carrying a hint of pride and happiness, "Looks good, doesn't it? I just bought it this afternoon."
"Oh? Which store? Nice choice," Casare asked casually.
While stirring the beef in the pot, Hayler replied, "I didn't choose it myself. This afternoon I went shopping with Mrs. Krista Schroeder, she helped me out. She said this one suits me particularly well."
"Krista Schroeder?!"
Casare's smile froze in an instant, and the arm he had wrapped around Hayler's waist subconsciously loosened. His body tensed slightly.
"How come you went shopping with her?" Casare's voice unconsciously carried a hint of tension, "Since when did you get so close to her?"
