"What's going on?!" he asked sternly, exuding authority without needing to raise his voice.
Marta seized the opportunity to recap the situation rapidly: from her son's observations at the casino, to the threats they received, to their report, and the attempted poisoning and assassination by a female officer.
As Lionel Schultz listened, his expression grew increasingly grim.
He glanced at the female officer being carried out for emergency treatment, then at the still-shocked Alvarez family, particularly the unusually composed Marta.
He walked over to the overturned water glass and ordered the officers behind him, "Take samples of the water and the glass, and send them for analysis immediately."
Then, he turned to Marta, "Madam, are you certain that everything you said about the Neptune Casino and the Extraterrestrial Object is true?"
