Anyway, the final story concludes with Luther making Superman realize that humanity doesn't need alien rule, and Superman leaves. The entire Earth's populace lives happily ever after under President Luther's rule for two thousand years of peace, ultimately proving that humanity indeed doesn't need Superman.
The biggest fun in this story is concentrated in this final line—"happily living through two thousand years of peace."
