Physical strike weapons rely on ammunition supply, and even though railgun weapons don't use propellant, they still require a large amount of all-metal combat units to unleash their power. On the contrary, directed-energy weapons can continuously operate within their lifespan as long as there's adequate energy supply and clear lines.
Both types of weapon systems have their advantages and disadvantages. If the energy supply is interrupted, highly consuming directed-energy weapons will quickly cease to function. Physical strike weapons, especially firearms, can continue to operate as long as the ammunition isn't depleted, until they are completely destroyed.
The mutants, like a tidal wave, have surrounded the entire Habulav City. The public spaceport within the district has also been heavily disrupted by the flying-type mutants. Many small aircraft can no longer take off safely; only medium and large airships can forcefully break out using protective barriers or repulsion shields.
