Grand Line – Paradise
Drum Island
"Join our crew too, old granny!", Luffy, leaning on the table in front of him, says, inviting Dra. Kureha to the crew.
"Bammmmm!"
"Watch your mouth, old is your mother! I'm in the prime of my one hundred and thirty years", Dra. Kureha says, smoke rising from her fist.
"Wow, for an old lady your age to be so energetic! You must do a lot of yoga, right?", Sanji asks, impressed, only to have his face slammed into the floor by another punch from the doctor.
"Bammmmm!"
"Let me see if I got this straight, you want me to become a pirate?", completely ignoring that she just smashed Sanji's face into the ground, Dra. Kureha turns to Luffy and asks, as if she had misheard something.
"That's right! Let's go on an adventure together, granny!", Luffy exclaims excitedly.
"Bammmmmm!"
"Don't be an idiot, brat! Become a pirate and waste the best years of my life? No fucking way! Besides, I've already spent more than enough time adventuring at sea, and I'm not in the mood to do it again, I'm perfectly fine here!", after landing another punch on Luffy's head, Dr. Kureha says, refusing the invitation, remembering the time when she made part of a certain pirate crew.
At that moment, Sanji and Luffy notice Chopper, with a small part of his head hidden behind the doorframe while the rest of his body was in plain sight, basically hiding in reverse, creating a funny scene.
"Ah!", Chopper.
"Ah!", Sanji.
"Ah!", Luffy.
And thus begins another chase, Luffy and Sanji running after Chopper, pestering him while Dra. Kureha runs after them, defending the little reindeer.
"Come back here, reindeer! Just accept the invitation and join my crew, I don't take no for an answer! If you take too long, we're gonna kidnap you!", Luffy yells with a giant smile on his face, having fun.
"Come back here, meat! Miss Nojiko and the girls must be hungry!", Sanji shouts, already thinking about what dish he'd cook.
"Shut up, Sanji! You're scaring the crew's emergency meat! We're not gonna eat him right now, we're not even hungry, you idiot! We're just going to kidnap him, and then if at some point we run out of food in the middle of the sea, the emergency meat saves us, think a little, noodle brain!", Luffy yells at Sanji, explaining something that, to him, was obvious. In reality, he was just joking, his goal with those words was to scare Chopper and tease the cook.
"Gyaaaahh! Heeelp, Doctorineeee! They want to eaaaat me, I'm not emergency fooooood!", with his nose running and his eyes gushing tears like a broken hydrant, Chopper screams desperately, calling for Dra. Kureha's help.
"Come back here, talking reindeer! I've got candy in this deep bag right here, just climb in, there's a bunch of sweets waiting for you!", Luffy shouts like a child kidnapper, he obviously didn't have any candy or a deep bag, but he was definitely having fun terrifying Chopper.
"STOP RIGHT THERE, YOU JACKASSES! I'M GONNA FRY YOU BOTH BEFORE YOU CAN DO ANYTHING!", Dra. Kureha, armed to the teeth, shouts, running after Sanji and Luffy.
"Ahhhh! The old granny! She looks like a walking corpse running after us! It's a zombiieeee!", eyes wide open, Luffy screams, now running away from the witch doctor instead of chasing Chopper.
"And she's armed, how can someone hold fourteen knives with just one hand? What the fuck is this?", Sanji screams, baffled by the scene he was witnessing.
"GET BACK HERE, YOU TROUBLESOME BRATS!", Dra. Kureha yells, running after them so fast that the three of them end up passing Chopper, who was now being ignored.
Still scared, Chopper runs into the room where the girls were, wanting to hide from those two.

Going back a bit in time, the marine ship finally docks at the same place the Straw Hats had disembarked.
"Doesn't look like they're being invaded", one of the marines says, thinking everything seemed way too calm, it didn't look like something like a pirate attack was happening.
"I don't know, let's see if coming here wasn't a waste of time in the end", stepping onto solid ground, Aramaki says before heading toward the presence of life he could sense.
Soon, Aramaki and a portion of his men reach Bighorn Village, finding it odd that everything looked completely normal, no houses on fire, no dead bodies, no one crying, the things was strange.
Stopping a person, who turned out to be that tall lady who had been mistaken more than once for a alpinist bear, Aramaki asks, "Where are the pirates, old lady? Where's the Straw Hat boy?"
"Hmm? Marines? Ehh, pirates? There are no pirates here, they already left a while ago", the old lady says, initially confused by the marines suddenly being on the island, then lying, after all, Mr. Dalton seemed to be friendly with the young pirates, so she didn't want to cause trouble for those youngsters.
"Stop lying, you detestable old hag! Are you trying to cover for a bunch of shitty pirates? Spit it out before I arrest you and this whole village for acting as accomplices to criminals!", grabbing the woman by the collar and lifting her into the air, Aramaki threatens her, without a shred of scruples or delicacy, the mission is more important than the insignificant life of a statusless civilian.
"I... they went to Cocoaweed Village", coerced and threatened, the tall old lady says, scared.
"Which way is this village?", Aramaki asks, putting the old lady back on the ground.
"That way", the old lady says, trembling with fear, pointing in the direction Usopp's group had gone.
"If you're lying, I'll come back here and arrest this entire village, you got that?", Aramaki threatens her angrily, pointing his finger on her face.
"Y... y... yes sir", the old lady says, scared of the marine.
"Good. Let's go!", Aramaki says before commanding his men, turning and heading in the pointed direction.
After walking a few meters, Aramaki turns to one of his men and says, passing on his orders, "Some of the men stay here and arrest everyone, child, woman, elderly, I don't care, arrest everyone. You all have permission to use force if they don't cooperate. The rest come with me to this other village!"
"Y... yes sir!", the marine says, a bit hesitant.
Shortly after, Aramaki and his men arrive at Cocoaweed Village, and once again, it didn't look like pirates had been there.
"Hey, you! Where are the pirates?", calling the attention of a random passerby, Aramaki rudely questions him.
"Pirates? Haven't seen any pirates recently. If you're talking about the ones that attacked us about two months ago, then you guys are way too late, they already left after leaving the kingdom in shambles. Actually, we're still rebuilding", the passerby says, confused. These marines had arrived way too late, showing up now was the same as not showing up at all.
"No fuck, I want the Straw Hat pirates!", Aramaki yells at the passerby, irritated with this guy.
"Straw Hat pirates? I haven't seen anyone like that!", the passerby says, even more confused, and now also scared of the man in front of him.
"You useless imbecile! Spread out, interrogate everyone, this shitty island is already pissing me off, use force if necessary", Aramaki yells in the face of the passerby before turning to his men and giving his orders.
Some time later, one of his men returns, this time with at least an interesting piece of information.
"Sir! Apparently no one saw any pirates today, but apparently the island's guardian was seen with a boy nobody knew and a large duck, they were in this village a few hours ago and went toward a village called Gyasta, in that direction", the marine informs Aramaki, pointing in the direction he had been told.
"Well, better than nothing! Let's go, you and a few others come with me, the rest stay here and arrest this village too, if the village guardian was seen in the company of pirates, then everyone's an accomplice in this shit, beat up anyone who resists", Aramaki says mercilessly, moving forward while his men arrested the civilians left and right.
And once again, Aramaki and the few men who followed him arrive at Gyasta village, where they immediately begin arresting and interrogating the citizens.
"Hey! What do you think you guys are doing, arresting people like that? They're just ordinary civilians, for God's sake! Isn't your job supposed to be protecting people?", while interrogating a little girl trembling with fear, Aramaki hears a shout approaching from a distance.
"And who might you be?", Aramaki asks, turning his attention to the tall man with broad shoulders.
"Dalton, I'm this island's guardian, you better have an explanation for this, we are a kingdom affiliated with the world government, what you guys did is an abuse of power, release them all or the situation will escalate", Dalton says firmly as he approaches, with Usopp and Karoo following right behind him, a furious scowl on his face.
"Ohh, so you're the so-called guardian who's been buddy-buddy with pirates, huh?", Aramaki asks, giving a brief look at Usopp, finally having found one of the pirates, unfortunately, not the Straw Hat himself.
'Shit, what do I do? I need to act now, this guy already knows I'm a pirate, if I don't do anything, Dalton and all the citizens of the island will suffer just for being friendly with us', analyzing the whole situation almost instantly and knowing that this guy realized he was one of the pirates, Usopp racks his brain trying to find a solution, and that solution comes through a stupid idea.
At lightning speed, Usopp grabs Dalton from behind, by the neck, with one of his Malorian pistols pointed at his temple.
"Muahahahaha, looks like our plan's been found out, then there's no reason to keep up appearances anymore! We threatened this idiot to keep quiet and pretend we were friends, all that effort for nothing, what a waste! Everything went wrong because of you guys, nosy Marines! Now back off, this idiot is my hostage, if you come any closer, I'll blow his brains out, you got that?", imitating the voice of a stereotypical villain, Usopp shouts, acting the best he can. He had to clear the names of the people from that island.
"Shit, he's got a hostage!", one of the marines yells, pointing his weapon at Usopp.
The tension in the air was palpable, and Aramaki knew that this kid was lying, and honestly, whether the residents would get away with it or not, he couldn't care less about that shit, the island didn't seem to be under attack, and what he really wanted was the Straw Hat, and the person who knew where that boy was happened to be right in front of his eyes.
'It worked', Usopp thinks with a smile before yelling and vanishing from the spot, taking Dalton and Karoo with him, "Muahahahaha! It's good that you understand! Now, have a nice day, gentlemen, and go fuck yourselves!"
"I'll deal with the pirate. Keep tying up these idiots, I'm already sick of this shit, and it hasn't even been an hour since we landed", Aramaki says before disappearing from where he stood, chasing after Usopp using Soru.
"But... aren't they innocent?... whatever, you all heard the Vice Admiral, keep tying up the civilians, whether they're innocent or not, we'll figure out later", one of the marines tries to question Aramaki, but he was already gone.
Meanwhile, at a good distance from the village, Usopp stops and releases the two, speaking urgently, "Run as far away as you can! That guy's strong, shit's gonna get serious! Dalton, you have to evacuate everyone as far away from the fight as possible, Karoo, help him. Sorry for bringing trouble to your island, buddy!"
"Why did you do that?", Dalton asks, more or less understanding why Usopp did that, but asking anyway.
"Well, it was the first thing that came to mind! They're after us, the pirates. You and the people of this island have nothing to do with this. Acting like that clears you guys of any suspicion the Marines might have; they have no proof you were friendly with us, so use that, and they won't be able to do anything to you! Now, punch me so it looks like you had to fight to escape, then you two go and evacuate everyone", Usopp explains before gesturing for Dalton to punch him in the face.
Shrugging, Dalton delivers a powerful punch to Usopp's face, making a bruise appear instantly. "Bammm!"
"Alright, but just having a bruised face won't cut it. Punch me too; that way, it'll look more convincing!", Dalton says, gesturing for Usopp to punch him as well.
"Alright then! Bammmmm!", Usopp says, shrugging before delivering a powerful headbutt, breaking his nose.
"Urghh! You went a little hard, but I was the one who asked for it, so I guess it's fine!", Dalton says, holding his broken nose that was gushing blood.
"Alright, now get the hell out of here before they catch up to us!", Usopp says, checking his weapons and ammo, preparing for the fight to come.
"Be careful!", Dalton says as he walks away with Karoo, who also quacks in worry, "Quack quack quack!" "Try not to die!"
"Yeah, yeah! Go back to the village and slam your dicks on the table, these guys can't just go around arresting everyone without proof", Usopp says, finishing checking his weapons and gear, ready for what was to come.
And then, shortly after Dalton and Karoo run off, Aramaki arrives, standing in front of Usopp.
"The bruised face is to make the excuse that guy fought you to escape seem more convincing?", Aramaki asks, raising an eyebrow at the bruise on Usopp's cheek and the blood on his forehead.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Marine! That bastard managed to punch the beautiful face of the Great Captain Usopp before running away, but not before I broke his nose!", Usopp says, keeping up the act, it didn't matter if he thought the sniper was lying or not, as long as they didn't have concrete proof, they couldn't arrest people.
"Yeah, yeah, keep lying! I don't care if they're connected to pirates or not; sometimes, small sacrifices are necessary in the name of justice. My mission here is the Straw Hat, now tell me where he is and I'll give you a quick death", Aramaki says coldly, his mission being the only thing that mattered.
"Dude, what the fuck is this? Aren't you supposed to protect people?", Usopp asks, disturbed by what he just heard.
"My mission here is clear, capture the Straw Hat, the deaths and arrests along the way are necessary sacrifices", Aramaki says without scruples, the mission was more important.
"You'll have to go through me!", Usopp says, letting out a fearless snort, or so it would seem, until you looked at his legs trembling, soft like jelly, which revealed his true feelings.
"I'll gladly do that!", with a predatory smile, Aramaki stomps hard on the ground, thick roots sprouting from his foot and moving quickly beneath the soil.
