Grand Line – Paradise
Somewhere in the sea – In the middle of a snowstorm
"So, what's going on?", Sanji asks, lighting a cigarette and taking a puff while looking at the weapon pointed at his face.
"These guys think they're attacking us", Luffy says indifferently, still hugging Nami.
"Yeah, I noticed!", Sanji says, releasing a cloud of smoke from his lips.
"Hmm... only six people and two animals? Well, it's a small ship, it would be strange if there were more", a short middle-aged man, with a body structure resembling a water tank due to how fat he is, comments, standing on the side railing of the Merry, biting into a piece of meat skewered on a dagger, eating the blade of the dagger along with it.
"You've invaded my ship", Luffy says with no expression on his face.
Completely ignoring Luffy's words, the strange man asks while throwing the rest of the dagger's contents into his mouth, chewing it, "We're looking for the Kingdom of Drum... Chomp! Crac! Crunch! Chomp... by any chance, do you guys have an Eternal Pose? Or even a Log Pose to help us?"
"No, now get off my ship before you regret it", Luffy says seriously, not in the mood to joke like he usually does.
"Mahaha... well! Come on, comrades! We've just arrived, my name is Wapol, and... ohh! Look at this hot beauty we have here! Anyway, if you don't have what we want, then we'll take your ship, your treasure, and that hot girl over there, simple as that!", the man, now known as Wapol, starts to speak, only to get momentarily distracted by Nami's beauty when he sees her.
"You'd better get out of here while you still can", Luffy says, breaking free from the comfortable blankets hug, and then standing up.
"But before anything else, I'm starving—", Wapol says, once again ignoring Luffy's words, before opening his mouth in a completely unnatural way and attempting to take a huge bite out of the Merry.
Before he can even touch any part of the Merry with his mouth, Luffy disappears from where he was and reappears where Wapol was, punching him into the sea like a cannonball.
"Lord Wapol!", Completely stunned, Wapol's subordinates scream, watching their lord being launched into the depths of the ocean like a cannonball.
"I told you twice to leave, and you didn't, I'm not in the mood for games, and you're making us waste time standing still", Luffy says with a face showing no emotion, his fist exhaling smoke.
"AHHHHH! NO! LORD WAPOL WAS SENT FLYING TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA!", one of Wapol's subordinates, the one wearing the checkered jester outfit, screams desperately, coming to his senses.
"SHIT! AND WE CAN'T FORGET HIS INABILITY TO SWIM DUE TO HIS AKUMA NO MI!", another of Wapol's subordinates, the one with the afro and strange beard, screams, equally desperate.
""WE NEED TO RESCUE HIS MAJESTY IMMEDIATELY BEFORE HE DROWNS!"", the two shout simultaneously, trying to run back to their ship, only to be paralyzed midway when Luffy's Conqueror's Haki falls over all of them.
"Ah, you guys are not going anywhere. Tell me, does your crew have a doctor?", Luffy asks, his voice as cold as liquid nitrogen.
Seeing that they were all paralyzed with fear, Usopp says, making his best intimidating face, snapping them out of that paralyzed state, "If I were you guys, I'd answer him right away!"
"Y... y... yes, we... we have twenty... twenty doctors on the ship", incredibly, it wasn't one of the two who seemed to have the highest ranks in the crew after Wapol who answered, but rather a random guy trembling with fear.
"We're heading to Drum Island, you guys are going to follow us there. I want those twenty doctors to take care of the sick members of my crew", Luffy commands, exuding a level of authority that all the Straw Hats had never seen their Captain display.
"O... okay... okay... whatever... whatever you... you say, sir", the guy dressed as a jester stammers, surrendering, at least for now, deep down already planning to escape as soon as Luffy got distracted.
=Scene Break=
"So? You can treat them?", Luffy asks the twenty doctors who had just examined the girls.
"Unfortunately not, it's a disease none of us have ever seen before. You said they were bitten by insects on a prehistoric island with a closed ecosystem, right?", one of the doctors asks after informing him that they couldn't treat the girls.
"That's right, why?", Luffy asks, slightly disappointed with the answer, even though he knew that would be the response he would get.
"Probably it's a prehistoric disease. Most of the 'modern' medical books, so to speak, don't mention diseases found on prehistoric islands, so you'll hardly find anyone capable of treating it, except for the old witch, of course. She can probably treat it, because, well, she's old and she's a witch! Also, she's the best doctor we know", the doctor replies, explaining to Luffy what he thought about the situation.
"And where can I find this witch granny?", Luffy asks, even though he already knew where to find her.
"In Drum, she's the only doctor left on the island after our departure", the doctor says, sounding a little bitter when mentioning their departure from the island.
"Alright, you can keep them stable until we get there?", Luffy asks, concerned.
"We'll try our best", the doctor says, morally unable to promise anything.
"...Sigh... alright—", Luffy begins to say after a sigh, being suddenly interrupted by a loud noise coming from the deck above.
Stepping out onto the deck, Luffy sees those two of Wapol's subordinates firmly pressed against the floor, with Chouchou on top of one of them, in his hybrid form, a white wolf larger than a warhorse, growling right next to his face. And on top of the other, was Usopp, tying him with a thick rope.
Around the deck, all the other subordinates of Wapol lay unconscious, with giant bruises on their heads. Meanwhile, the two responsible for those bruises, Zoro and Sanji, returns to their previous activities as if nothing special had just happened.
"What happened?", Luffy asks, confused.
"These two idiots tried to escape by sneaking away while the others tried to delay us", Usopp says, finishing tying the afro-haired idiot and then moving on to the jester being pressed to the floor by Chouchou.
"Release us, you filthy pirates, we need to save Your Majesty", the afro-haired man shouts, struggling against the ground.
"Hey Luffy! I went to the kitchen to grab something to eat and saw this Akuma no Mi among the fruits in the fruit bowl", Sabo appears from the upper mezzanine of the deck, holding an Akuma no Mi on his hand.
"No—", the jester says weakly.
"Wait, let me see", Luffy says, going to grab his Akuma no Mi encyclopedia.
Flipping through the book as he returns to the decks ship, Luffy says, "Here! It's the Baku Baku no Mi, a Paramecia, the fruit of gluttony. It allows the user to eat anything in enormous proportions and then manifest the properties of what they've eaten in their body or simply combine and fuse what they've eaten before regurgitating something completely new, whether it's the fusion of two animals in a completaly new animal or a piece of wood with enhanced properties. The drawback, besides the obvious weakness to the sea, is that the user will always be hungry and can only manifest objects eaten within the last twenty-four hours. Hmm, interesting fruit!"
And that was the confirmation that Wapol had died drowned for his two most loyal subordinates, who then began to scream at the top of their lungs while struggling against their bonds. "YOUR MAJESTY WAPOL IS DEAD! YOU MONSTERS! YOU KILLED HIM! DO YOU REALIZE YOU KILLED A KING?"
Some of the doctors, upon hearing this news as they stepped onto the deck curious to see what was happening, couldn't contain themselves and began to celebrate, "Wapol is dead?" "Wapol is dead?" "Are we free?"
"WE ARE FREEEE!!"
"HAHAHAHA! GOOD RIDDANCE, YOU TYRANT PIECE OF SHIT!"
"FINALLY, OUR PEOPLE CAN LIVE IN PEACE!"
"TAKE THAT, YOU FAT DUMB WORM! YOU DIED LIKE YOU DESERVED, BEING DISCARDED IN A TOILET LIKE THE PIECE OF SHIT YOU ARE!"
"YOU DAMN TRAITOROUS BASTARDS!", Wapol's two subordinates scream in anger as they see the doctors celebrating Wapol's death.
"Hmmm, Usopp, shut those two up, take advantage and tie them all up, leave just the doctors free, and let's get going, we've wasted too much time standing around, we need to get to Drum soon", Luffy gives his orders, not being in the mood to listen to two idiots screaming.
"Right away, Cap", Usopp says, going to gag the two idiots before going to fetch more ropes to tie up the rest.
